The best thing about this hotel was the location. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good and our room was small but clean and perfectly acceptable for one night in Tokyo. We hadn't realised we were just around the corner from the Knightsbridge of Tokyo with all the beautiful shops. We found a lovely local restaurant... More

This was my first visit to Tokyo and I found the location ideal for tourism. I liked my single room which was nicely-designed and well-equipped, including free wi-fi which was incredibly useful for accessing eg Google maps. TV included BBC World and TV5, which suited me. The room was utterly silent eg no door-banging. Thus the hotel will also be... More

The Mercure Ginza is reasonably priced for this part of Tokyo. The staff are exceptional, as we came to expect in Japan. Desk staff had at least passable English to very good English, so communication was never a problem. Rooms were on the small side but if you want large rooms in this part of Tokyo, you will pay a... an good place to stay if you want to be in the ginza district of tokyo. the rooms are a little small (per american standards) but probably big or average for japanese standards. the location is excellent, within easy walking distance to subways and the ginza shopping district. I did not try the restaurant, but my family did and they... More

Loved the Mecure - was chosen by our travel agent but excellent location in Ginza, we had two different rooms for different parts of our trip - one was quite large the other quite small. It is clean, modern and comfortable. Weird pillows though - soft one side, hard beans the other? don't know what that was about. This hotel... More

This mecure is am above average Mecure . The rooms are a good size for tokyo hotels and the price we had (Dec) was good for the time of year. Its handy to several tokyo metro lines especially Hibiya line. JR yurackcho line is a easy 10 mins away. Many good (value) japanese restaurants nearby and because this is a... More

Unless you speak Japanese, staying in the local hotels can be tough. At the Mercure you can get by quite well with English, so that’s a big plus. The rooms are adequate in size, and large by Japanese standards, very comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The staff are extremely courteous and accommodating, which seems to be the norm in... More
