Rooms are of decent size, which is rare in Tokyo. The service was excellent. Complimentary wifi in rooms and lobby. Breakfast also was good. Living at 27 floor I had a nice view of the city especially at night. The price is a bit high, but what is cheap in Tokyo. More

Stayed 3 nights. Local colleagues seemed to feel the hotel was way overpriced, but it was very comfortable for a Westerner. Lots of dining options nearby, and very easy access to train system. One tip, my room on the 30th floor of the train station side had a lot of trin station noise. My last night, I moved to the... More

We stayed here for only two nights upon arriving but it was a wonderful time. The rooms seem very large and being so high up (the hotel starts partway up a high-rise) the views are incredible. The breakfast was very good and the whole mood of the hotel is relaxing with a pond in the lobby. The staff are very... More

I should have stayed here after I stayed at Shinagwa Prince, which was terrible. I stayed this hotel first and then moved to the worst hotel. The hotel service here (Strings, not Prince) is excellent. More

Excellent location, super breakfast and good record keeping (you might ask why?). The Stings is one of my favorite hotels in Tokyo. The breakfast is the best I have among the many hotels I have been to WW. It has been over a year I have not stayed there. Upon my recent stay, the staff still has my record and... More

I had an emergency in Hawaii and had to return home early. The staff was excellent helping me change my reservation. The limited time I had at the hotel was perfect. Staff was excellent, friendly and very helpful. The room was spacious and relaxing. The breakfast was superior food - in a country with superb food. I can not wait... More

Stayed here for a week in February and can't say enough great things about the rooms, the staff, the food and the incredible service. Located high above the Shinegawa station, you are beautifully situated for easy travel. The rooms are clean, comfortable and very relaxing. The shower room/bathroom is heavenly ... I could have stayed in the shower room for... More

Stayed here 4 nights on priority club points as part of a vacation April 2012.  Good Beautifully furnished western sized rooms. Wonderful Lobby area is really a magically calm place, not the usual hustle and bustle of some hotels. Smallish gym but ok and with great views. Free wifi in rooms a real plus. Service from all the staff at... More

Great hotel with fabulous service throughout. In particular the concierge team: Ben and Eri helped us find new things to discover in Tokyo which transcended the usual tourist attractions of shrines, Imperial Palace etc. Since this was the third trip to Tokyo as tourists we were interested in seeing the modern areas and they directed us to places that go... Having stayed at numerous hotels in Tokyo that were "ho hum" and basically all the same, I was pleasantly surprised with The Strings. Located next to Shinegawa train station, The Strings is exceptionally well designed with a very helpful staff. The rooms were large for Japanese standards with elegant appointments, comfortable bed and all the normal room requirements (i.e. wireless,... More
