Good quality hotel, very well located for Shinagawa station that provides excellent connections to the airports and the rest of Tokyo. The room was a good size, well appointed and with a large bathroom. My room overlooked the station which would be a trainspotter's paradise as it appears like a model railway from 29 floors up. A previous commentator complained... More

We stayed at this hotel at the end of our ski holiday in Japan last January. We found every aspect of the service to be excellent. In terms of size - the rooms were an OK which I understand can be a challenge at other accommodation in Tokyo. The food (particularly at breakfast) was excellent. The only minor niggle was... More

Intercontinental hotels has not yet failed me in terms of quality. Being in Japan and service by Japanese who cares so much about customer service, satisfaction and quality brings the whole Intercon experience a notch higher. Firstly this hotel is a a superb location. It's connected via walkways (offices buildings and complexes) to the train station. It has convenient store... More

We chose hotel due to it being close to Airport as we had very early flight to London and we could not have chose a better hotel. We managed to get early check in and and upgrade. The check in was smooth and professional and we were welcomed with fruit and gift in the room. Due to a slight delay... More

I booked one reward night in The Strings expecting that I'd be leaving Tokyo the next day. On check-in I was delighted to hear that my room type had been upgraded (I am a PC Platinum member, but have no Ambassador status). The room was much bigger than I'd expect in Tokyo. The hotel feels very modern, peaceful, and clean.... More

Stayed in April before departure, having stayed in ANA Intercon Tokyo before this hotel. Strings was a bit too much business oriented for my taste. But the service here was top-noch and the staff did a excellent job, although I didnt get any room upgrade even as Royal Ambassador so that was a minus on them. The rooms are clean... More

I have been in many places, but how I felt here, I will never forget. I spent several months here (months...). Service is impeccable. No one defect in all my stay, and I am demanding. Breakfast is ok, the restaurant is poor compared to the quality of the service and the rooms. It is also not cheap... The location is... More

I visited "The Strings" 3 yeqars ago and now again : wonderful, charming compared to those Mega Hotels you'll find usually in the Shinagawa are. Easy to rech and at the focal point of traffic connections in Shinagawa station. Nice bars and restaurants within walking distance (if you know your way, but you can't get lost). Overall, a very pleasant... More

I stayed on this hotel for a quick overnight on a business trip. I picked this hotel because it was easily accessible from Haneda (Keikyu Line) and Narita (Narita Express) via Shinagawa station. I didn't use a lot of the facilities, but I got a good impression of the room and the Dining Room Restaurant. The approach to the hotel... More

Although I've traveled the world I was a bit concerned about my trip to Tokyo. I had heard that is is hard to get around if you can't read Japanese. I was there for four days and had no problems. I had read about the great location of The Strings...being right outside the entrance to the Shinagawa Station, but before... More
