We stayed here at the beginning and the end of our trip to Japan. The service is absolutely topnotch. The concierge is particularly helpful. The lobby is really cool with the authentic 1960s design. The room was a bit small, but nice. Unfortunately the air conditioning did not work properly in any of the three rooms we were given. On... More

A quiet neighborhood, outstanding service, beautiful surroundings, across the street from the US Embassy, Starbucks around the corner. It's like you never left the states. Prices are high but hey it's Tokyo. I've seen more Bentleys and Ferraris there than anywhere outside Monaco. The Okura is the right spot for your meeting with the ambassador or hosting that occasional Tri-Lateral... More

The location is close to Japan Government offices and many Embassies, little away from Financial district, close to entertainment district Roppongi. Transportation good for airports with Bus service directly from hotel. Staff very well trained and polite , helpful make you feel special. Rooms are pretty standard except a good quality shower with few extra Jacuzzi type side showers with... More

The Hotel Okura is a grand old-style hotel. It has hosted most of the world's leaders visiting Tokyo. The check-in desk is a long way from the front door, but otherwise check-in was quick and easy. The staff are very friendly and helpful and all seemed to speak English. As a 6'1", 195 lbs healthy male it's a bit diconcerting... More

We loved this hotel!! We had a Junior suite in the main building and it was so quiet. The staff are courteous and very helpful. If you are looking for a swish, modern hotel then this isn't the one for you, but it is very clean and our suite was more than adequate. The hotel is close to a couple... More

My wife and I just spent 8 days at the Okura at the height of cherry blossom time in Tokyo. We paid the normal rate and were lucky enough to get a penthouse room in the south wing. It had a long narrow balcony which was beautifully planted. The first night we ate in the sushi restaurant in the hotel.... More

I stayed at this property for during a 3 day business trip to Tokyo. The room was nicely furnished and impeccably clean. The staff was extremely attentive and provided excellent service. The one complaint I had with the hotel is the extra charges for nearly everything. In general, I am always amazed that the nicest hotels gouge their best customers... More

Fantastic 5 star hotel with a Japanese soul. The service is attentive, the staff speak good english, breakfast good, room size good. All pluses, only slight negative may be that the hotel has not been renovated recently, so a few appliances are not ultra modern. More

Surrounded by greenery and located only minutes from a central tube station, the Okura is a big, comfortable hotel with a suprisingly intimate atmosphere. Impeccable, friendly service. Restaurants, shops and take-out dishes available in the building. More

Was placed here by default. I was in Tokyo on business per the usual. Company placed me here because American Embassy is next door and said it would be the safest hotel to be at, they were right!. Working in Fashion and Advertisement, I fell in love with the character of the hotel. Very retro in the lobby, but plush... More
