We arrived late at night and the staff waited for us to check in which was great. The room was perfect and the location can' t be better. Just next to the shrine and all the shopping area! I really loved it! I highly recommend this ryokan if you choose asakusa on your trip!

This place rests on its laurels. The older man on reception is, even by western standards, woefully misplaced in hospitality. By Japanese standards he should be extradited for rudeness. We love this place, having stayed there four times, but it is more like a small hotel or a guesthouse rather than a real ryokan. They have tried to have more Japanese-style rooms (Futons on the floor, which is okay with us.) The Japanese breakfast at 1300 yen per person seems expensive, but in my opinion it is good value... the design, comfort,cleanliness of the rooms, friendliness of staff, good breakfasts and quiet location in a very busy and interesting area. i especially appreciated the japanese soaking room/tub on the roof after a day of walking..the price was right for the tatami room and feel lucky to have chosen this ryokan sight unseen.

Thought I'd try something authentic Japanese and this Inn delivered just that. Pretty quiet, very functional and clean rooms, right in the heart of the local markets and temples. Easy walk to Tokyo Sky Tree, and plenty of other local attractions. So many restaurants to choose from.

This was one of the most enjoyable stays I have ever had visiting a foreign country. Best deal ever in Tokyo. MODERN BUILDING WITH CLASSIC LOOKS. Close to restaurants, Senso ji, Sky Tree, subway, far away from busy and noisy Tokyo center. Fantastic in house sento and... Cheap. 7800 yen for a single. Great place. Take care... Closed for cleaning between 10 am and 3 pm. You cant stay in your room.
