I really like this hostel just because of the wonderful staff and the location.the dorms are nice for 4 persons with private bathroom.free lockers,free internet and all the facility you can expect.will go there again. jean luc

Booked a double room for my wife and myself at Oak Hotel through Hostel World on the recommendation of my backpacking son - only about £60 per night per room, which for Tokyo is unheard of value. The staff at the Oak Hotel was delightful and the location is great. However we didn't get much sleep. The beds are HARD. We asked at the desk to get some extra blankets to put under the sheets and it was a bit better. Mini fridge in the room and a few grocery stores nearby, so we just bought some... More

Really convenient location, close to JR Ueno station, few shops around. Few minutes to Asakusa etc. Very helpful staff, lot of brochures and tips for trips in a lobby, get-together parties (sushi, Kamakura side trips..). Small kitchen incl. fridge, microvawe, washmachine and dryer. No breakfast service.

The Hotel is near a metro station (Inaricho), which is very usefull. The staff is really awesome (everybody speaks english very well) and helpfull. There was even a sushi party in the hotel during the days we were here ^^. I highly recommend this hotel for everyone who wants to come in Tokyo.

I wasn't sure where I should stay. It was my first time to japan but everything very good. Staffs are friendly and very kind. Also the hotel location is easy to go evry where and clean. Especially sushi party was nice to meet new people in hostel. Everything perfect for me!

Accessibility : Near Ueno & Easy to find it. Very good service (staff skills , room always clean), some usability party (like sushi party). I highly recommend this hotel for everyone who come in japan and want to have a good address. In french : C'est parfait comme point de chute, je le recommande les yeux fermés.

We enjoyed our two nights in the Oak Hotel and would have liked to go back on our return to Tokyo, but sadly it was fully booked. Room pretty small but standard for Japan and was clean and comfy so it did the trick. Good location for Ueno station and park, which makes for handy transfers from the airport.

Convenient location (near JR Ueno and Iinaricho Subway stations), although it is probably a little bit away from the action (Shibuya, Shinjuku, etc.).
