Stopped by one Sunday to get a bite to eat. Menu fairly limited, starters ranging from £6 upwards and mains from about £9 but not a great deal of choice. The usual roast dinners were on the menu and a pie of the week. We had hoped to get a lighter bite such as a sandwich and chips but this... More

Hello. Please accept my apologies regarding your visit here. On a Sunday we serve roasts in addition to our carefully selected Sunday Menu, it seems that on this occasion you were unable to find a dish to your liking. If requested our staff are always willing to create something off the menu. The price for our starters on a Sunday... More

This is a great village pub serving good, honest pub food. A group of us had lunch, which we pre ordered in the morning, and I didn't hear one complaint. I had the fish and chips which was hot, plentiful and delivered with a smile. This pub makes you want to come back! It's also family friendly, Try it if... More

Stopped in here on route to Cambridge. We had booked, which I recommend to avoid disappointment. Both had the Sunday roast of which there were no complaints (£10.50 each). Good size portions and well cooked. Had desserts, which were also good. Not quite so generous portion and perhaps bit over priced for what they were (£5.50 each). Staff all very... More

Friends recommended we return now that this place is under new ownership. We weren't disappointed. Friendly welcome from all the staff didn't go unnoticed. Sunday roasts are amazing. Huge portions with lovely slabs of meat, cooked to perfection. We also spied great looking fish & chips, plus burger and chips plates passing our table; mentally noted for our next trip.... More

Popped in here for a quick lunch on Saturday. Despite the smell of bleach when we walked in the door (to be fair we were early - it was only just 12 so cleaning obviously just completed) - a great little pub. Lunch was really good - sausage and mash and a burger and chips (really good home made fat... More

I firstly visited this pub with a friend for lunch and was very pleasantly surprised as there was no website currently sp I didn't know what to expect. We both had a panini and thick cut homemade chips, which were gorgeous and very reasonably priced! Second time I visited after a long walk with my dog, who was made to... More

We walked from Royston along public footpath and found ourselves at the Fox and Duck. It was a lovely sunny day and the pub was busy. We hadn't booked a table but we were greeted and shown one straight away. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Highly recommend.

Looking to move to this village. What a great surprise. We were early for appointment so went for a drink here. Food looked great do had some. Really good!!! Isn't this what joy is? Stumbling over a place which is gracious, courteous, unflusterred, cracking people ( not over the top ) and food which is absolutely on the money and... More

This village on the green pub is a wonderful place for a visit. Great beers with 2 guest ales available. The new landlords have made their mark and introduced good traditional English food on the menu. There is also a mixture of excellent wine and delicatessen. We were here on Easter Sunday and the place was full of locals and... More
