I recently returned from a week at the Hotel Spongiola and just read the previous review posted by Helen from London. I agree with everything she wrote about this hotel. It was a delight to stay there and enjoy all that it had to offer. Many thanks to the very gracious, hard working staff members.

This excellent hotel is situated on the waterfront of Krapanj Island, with a magnificent view over the 400m wide channel to the mainland and the mountains beyond. This is the place if you want to relax, but still be able to enjoy the city.

I was part of the Strel Swimming Adventures tour of the Dalmatia islands in June 2011. Our base for the week was Hotel Spongiola on Krapanj, which provided excellent accommodation. Comfortable rooms, excellent meals and friendly staff. A perfect place to stay after a long day's swimming.

If you really want to relax and get away from it all, we recommend visiting this quaint little island in off season. This way you miss the myriad of yachts and tourists and you can enjoy the peace and quiet. We loved it and will be back! Perfect weather, lovely food and helpful staff made it all worth while.
