Wendy is bubbly and welcoming and the room was spacious. Although a family house, it is quiet and characterful - grand even - and in lovely surroundings. Small criticism, the (pine) beds could be more comfortable. We would stay there again as the house is charming and we were made to feel very welcome. We ate at the 'Ship Inn,... More

We chanced upon this charming place. Our room was huge and Wendy was unbelievable. She put bottles of water in thye fridge and remembered to leave them ibn our room before she went to bed.She encouraged me to use the guests' lounge when i told her I do not sleep much. She even supplied a heater. the hotel is full... More

We stayed in Burcombe Manor B&B for just one night as my sister was getting married in the village. Wendy was incredibly accommodating about us arriving early in the day (10.30am) so we could drop off our bags and get ready before going to the wedding. The room was very spacious with plenty of room for our toddler's travel cot.... More

We had a lovely well lit large room with a comfortable bed and a sunken bath in the bathroom. Everything worked well and internet was free. Breakfast was superb and if we should be in the area again we would return. Personal attention to your needs appeared to be the aim of the charming owners More

The setting, the house, can't be faulted. However, the rest certainly needs improvement! We were asked what time we were arriving, so we could be let in. It turned out, we arrived half an hour early which meant that no one was about to let us in. Luckily, our friends had already cheked in the night before, so let us... More

Twin room with ensuite shower room - clean and warm, with the usual tea/coffee. We were offered fresh milk in a flask for the tea. There was a sitting room, which we didn't use, and one large table in the breakfast room. No piped music, thank goodness! Good breakfast, eggs boiled to our specification, choice of brown or white toast,... More

We stayed at Burcombe Manor on the night of our Wedding as did my family. Wendy and Nick were wonderful on the day working behind the scenes to provided us with a faultless day. The rooms are large and comfortable with an air of being at home. Wendy and Nick are wonderful hosts and make you feel nothing is to... More
