We have just returned from a two day stay at the Old Mill House. The house is full of character. Our double room was very comfortable. Comfy bed, lots of hot water for the shower, bottled water in our room as well as the usual tea and coffee and very nice biscuits. We found our hosts Maggie and Brian most... More

We stayed at the Old Mill House (close to both Stonehenge and to Salisbury's town centre) for one night as we wanted to spend a long weekend in Salisbury, Longleat, and Bath. Maggie and Brian both were friendly, the room was very tidy and clean, and the 2 black dogs were cute :) The Old Mill is a very nice... More

This place is a great retreat from the noise of the city with its wonderful views of the country side and quiet English charm. The rooms are spacious and spotless, and Maggie is the most gracious host. Breakfast was outstandingly prepared and presented. I have absolutely no complaints about the Old Mill and would surely stay there again. Thank you... More

We stayed at the Old Mill House for one night during the Easter long weekend and it was SUPERB! We decided to experience a long weekend in the UK countryside and decided not to book the second night after our first night’s stay in Bath. We made it to a town called Great Wishford which is a few miles from... More

Me and my partner stayed here as we were in the area at short notice. Maggie welcomed us warmly and the room was pleasent and clean. After a lovely and well resting evening breakfast was delicious and Maggie was a brilliant host. Nothing was too much trouble and if the oppertunitly to come here again pops up THIS IS THE... More

We have just returned from our stay at the Old Mill House, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Maggie is a great host and her food excellant. My husband especially enjoyed the locally caught pheasant, and the home made apple pie was delicious. Our room, which overlooked the mill pond, was very comfortable. We would definitely recommend a stay there.

We stayed the night en-route to Cornwall. Wonderful hospitality, friendly and very welcoming. A very pleasant and comfortable room overlooking the mill pond. Not a sound from the A36 nearby.Great history, beautifully refurbished and fascinating furnishings. We strongly recommend the full English breakfast. First class cooking

Had a super relaxing 2 days B&B in room overlooking the pond. Every need catered for and very comfortable. Breakfast was really good-being a vegetarian, Maggie prepared me a delicious fruit salad each morning. My partner enjoyed the smoked trout with scrambled eggs. I would highly recommend a stay here.

We arrived in Salisbury on a whim and found the tourist information office 5 minutes after it had closed. We contacted the Old Mill House from amongst information available from the notice boards outside the Salisbury tourist information office. Not only were they exceptionally kind and helpful, our hosts navigated us successfully through a raining Salisbury evening to the mill... More

After making reservations 8 months in advance, we arrived mid-afternoon to learn that our hostess had neglected to put us in her book and we had no where to stay on a busy Friday night! This was quite a shock to me, for I had emailed her the week before not so much to confirm, but to ask for advise... More

We are extremely sorry about the booking error with Mr and Mrs Pappas. As it was eight months in advance I forgot to transfer it to the 2012 diary(I had a hip transplant on the 28th December and was not thinking straight!) We would be happy to offer a free nights stay if at any time they are here again. More
