Stayed here on the last Saturday in April for a friends wedding. A very imposing building as you drive up towards it with a good number of parking spaces. Once inside there is an impressive reception area where the hotel office can be found. Checking in took about 60 seconds as we had already paid for our room when we... More

I stayed at Newfield Hall recently as part of a HF walking holiday. The building sits in large grounds with fine views of the surrounding countryside. There is a wonderful reception area with a nice bar and a large dining and funtion room. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The food and staff service were very good. And the swimming pool... More

We booked at the last minute on a bed and breakfast basis. Hotel was warm and inviting. Staff were both friendly and professional. The breakfast was quality. A great centre for walking tours around the district. - Malham Cove as an example. However, we used it as a base to visit Malham, Skipton, Settle and Harrogate. Tip :The swimming pool... More

This was a lucky find for a budget price as they had just opened up after the winter break. Apparently the HF group do walking and outdoor tours and normally there are large groups, but other than me, there was one other couple staying on this night. It was going dark when I arrived at about 6pm and I could... More

We have stayed at several HF hotels with our rambling club in recent years and Newfield Hall is the best. We stayed there in October and found the hotel warm, comfortable in a great setting. The food was first rate and the service really good. Our room in the east wing was nice with super views to the south -... More

I was here on a walking short break. The hotel was of unexpectedly good quality. Fabulous rural setting. Impressive public lounges, lovely open fires. Dining room with superb view. My bedroom was very pleasant with a small shower room and I slept well. Staff all pleasant and helpful. Food was good although I found the sauces rather over-salty. Expect to... More

My oartner surprised me with a night away here. He booked it through Laterooms and when we arrived we were greeted by tour guides for the walking holidays this hotel specialises in and so I was a bit sceptical as we had just gone for a break away! However, the room (actually a 3 bed room) was HUGE and very... More

We booked a last minute room here so that we could get out into the yorkshire dales. What a lovely place, we were welcomed so warmly even though we weren't part of the majority who were on a walking holiday. Some previous reviewers mentioned communal breakfast - I think it was nice to meet some friendly walkers, makes a change... More
