Our charity bike ride of 12 people including 2 large mini buses was catered for superbly by this very friendly and hospitable family which was the first of several over night stays on our 340 mile ride from Cork to Galway. It was no trouble even to get our very wet cycling gear washed and dried for the next day... More

I found this lovely B&B on this site and I am SO glad I booked it! My room was great with a very, very comfortable bed (most welcome after hiking Sheep's Head) and the views are quite amazing!! Comfort is always key when traveling and the Aran Lodge goes above and beyond. The breakfasts were super tasty and hearty for... More

Great place to start our cycling trip around the Ring of Kerry, in a quiet village only 3miles from Bantry. Our room had stunning views over the estuary (we were given an upgrade from twin to family room) Lovely breakfast! More

This was a wonderful B&B. The owners could not have been more hospitable and the upstairs bedroom was huge and beautiful with a patio facing the Ballilicky River. I woke up the first morning, sat up in bed and sun (!) was streaming into the room with that gorgeous view. It is outside of town but only a short drive... More

My husband and I were camping in the nearby Eagle point Camp Site. After one night we had to abort the camping as we were flooded out! Weather was awful. Deirdre, the hostess, greeted us with open arms at 10pm on the first night with our 3yr, 4yr and 5yr old girls! She couldn't have made us feel more at... More

Aran Lodge is a lovely B&B with fantastic views from the upper bedroom of Ballylickey Bay. Breakfasts are legendary. Hosts are unremittingly friendly and charming. Very reasonably priced and set in beautiful grounds. The area is not renowned for its great weather but provided you take a bit of waterproof gear you can knock yourself out on the views, walks... My partner and I spent a bit of time in West Cork over the Easter holiday and found this lovely bed and breakfast on the road from Bantry to Glengariff, about ten minutes outside Bantry town. The welcome was very warm and the room cosy with an excellent sea view. The Ouvane pub right across the street was a good... More
