This was the most expensive hotel on our trip, but given the remoteness of the island and that it was not in season, we didn't mind. We stayed 1-3 April. We had a room with a shared terrace and there were some other people using other rooms, who used the terrace a lot; but it wasn't an issue for us.... More

“Nice hotel in a beautiful island”

We came for a wedding, it was our first trip to italy and we enjoyed it a lot. The hotel is nice, full of character, just a few meters from the a rocky beach. Hotel Ariana is a very nice and historic building with a terrace right next to the sea. Our room, however, cost a fortune and was situated next to the terrace of the hotel 's restaurant with loud music in the evening. The hotel L'Ariana was the first place I visited at the island Salina and immediately I fell in love with that place! The ancient villa is build right on the rocks above the sea, so in your bed you will hear the sound of the sea! Take a room with access to the terrace and take a swim first thing... More

I'd be careful about going to the Hotel L'Ariana (Rinella). We stayed there for 4 nights in mid-September 2007.
