This is a nice little hideaway and only 10 mins from the Cité at Carcassonne. Superior room with terrace in what seemed to be a new annex of the building. Spotlessly clean, big bed, large room. Tried the spa, was suprised by the charge of 15 euros per person, as in other hotels this is included. Spa area is clean... More

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Hostellerie du Château de Floure. The room (superior) was large with a big terrasse and had everything you can wish for, including a wonderful immense bed (but no safe) The weather did not permit us to enjoy the gardens but they are very nice and the swimming-pool as well. We had opted... More

Arrived at the hotel around 6.30 after a full day sight seeing. We'd booked for one night at de Floure which, as it turned out, was enough. Our room (10) was large with a good sized bathroom, adequate towels and toiletries. Room had electronic shutters which we like as, for us, they assist getting a good night's sleep. The "beautiful"... This hotel apparently used to be a monastery and has been extended over the years but the heavy oak beams remain, as do a kind of rabbit warren of rooms. This and the Domaine de la Tortiniere, was the only hotel that had us all running and giggling like schoolkids checking out everyone's room. No two rooms are alike. One... More

My friends and I stayed in room 2 which was huge. The service was very friendly and helpful. The room was beautifully furnished but had a lot of tiny niggles. The bath plug didn’t work; an electrical socket & two door handles were loose etc. The beds were comfy and the room was clean. The food in the evening was... More

We returned after seven years to find things largely unchanged: . if we return in another twenty I doubt we would notice much diiference: the same genuine, happy staff from the beaming, proud owner and his delightful wife, from the charming Karine who lent me some cigarettes and the beautiful elfin-like waitress who glides from bar to dining room. The setting... More

We arrived in the morning and although our room wasn't ready we were made to feel very welcome and given coffee and drinks before we went off out again. The evening receptionist showed us to our room which was a superior double - very large and spacious with a balcony. This hotel was perfect. The location was fantastic, with the... More

Ideally located for exploring Carcassonne and the surrounding areas but spare plenty of time to enjoy the peaceful setting and service in this Chateau including outdoor pool and patio. Building is beautiful and rooms are spacious. Owners are frequently present to ensure an exceptional and friendly high level of service and for all the staff nothing is too much trouble.... More

We stayed here for just one night and I was very sorry to leave. I was impressed by the warm and friendly response to my initial call, and although this is rather a grand hotel the service was personal and charming - some smart French hotels can seem a bit corporate. The Chateau de Floure is peaceful and secluded, living... More
