“not a real five-star experience”

I've stayed there several times and despite its pretentions this hotel doesn't deserve to feature in the five-star category, although it qualifies in terms of prices. The remote location (village outside Lyon) isn't an issue as taxis can be ordered easily. Where to start? From the minute we arrived, we got a brief hotel tour, then we were brought to our rooms. Stayed overnight for a weekend special. Welcome was excellent,warm and friendly. Room was magnificent with lovely furnishings; all of very high standard. Room was extremely large with nice balcony. Hard to fault Pavillon de la Rotonde... Friendly and helpful staff, gorgeous hotel, lounge and pool, stunning rooms (we were upgraded for free!), and great location only 20minutes to the centre of Lyon.

“A beautiful hotel for a short break”

Booked this hotel for two nights based on reviews, and it was beautiful, the staff, suites etc where all excellent, the food we had in the room was great, sadly the food and service in the casino is not near the same standard... Cant wait to go back but shall not be going into the casino restaurant again
