i think most reviewers have said it, excellent location, food, staff... the rooms although small were lovely and had some lovely homely touches, we loved the shower gel (molton brown) the teddy bear welcolme ... the tea and coffee wasnt just tea and coffee but hot chocolate and ground coffee and the breakfast was a brilliant start to the day.... Lovely countryside pub Adjacent to the river wharf Lots of outside seating Extensive menu I had pig belly and black pudding which was excellent One bonus is there is lots of free parking to thr rear of the pub which is good as it is difficult to park in the village without paying expensive charges

Excellent location, excellent food, excellent staff. Very accommodating when it comes to dogs. An amazing location by the river. Will definitely be returning. They also have several cottages overlooking the river.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting, very relaxing after a day's cycling. Excellent food, friendly staff....still can't understand why it only has 2 AA rosettes! Stayed here with a group of friends doing the Way of The Roses cycle route but will be coming back soon without the bike.

We have stayed here twice after buying vouchers on groupon. The hotel setting is so amazing. All the staff are friendly, professonal and very efficient. The food is great!!. The rooms are lovely with great views. What a great way to spend a relaxing evening.

Burnsall is beautiful & the Red Lion is a great place to stay, lovely food. We stayed in the Manor House we had a nice room on the top floor - stairs are steep for carrying bags. Only negative comment the room was hot & the window would only open about an inch so it wasn't the best nights sleep.... More
