Ourselves and two friends took advantage of a promotion to have dinner and as was required booked a table the previous evening. On arriving we discovered the table was beautifully laid, and when we initially enquired about an alternative table they said it was no problem to sit elsewhere if we prefered. Our drinks order and food orders were taken... More

No offence but this used to be a dreadfully dreary old place but what a wonderful transformation! We have now eaten there on four occasions since Christmas and every time have been warmly welcomed by some of the most friendly staff we have ever met. On the occasions we have booked in advance, the reserved table has had flowers and... More

Stayed here for two nights due to work in the area. On arrival I was greeted by an old garage on the carpark with old sofas and bric a brac outside clearly some kind of workshop which really should be hidden from customers.the room was in a house on the carpark where the rooms have been converted into bedrooms, first... Hi, Thanks for taking the time to give us feedback. This week we were clearing out the garages as part of our improvement plan so on Tuesday there was quite a lot of stuff out on the car park. This is now complete so rest assured you wouldn't be greeted by bric a brac again. In terms of the pricing,... More

Went for a drink on a February 2012 evening with five friends as the Swan has recently changed hands. It fills a gap, both figuratively and literally, between the more upmarket Interchange Hotel for businessmen and the more characterful Bowl pub in Lower Almondsbury. Interior is bland but alright with a couple of good ales on tap. We were drinking... More

Hi, I am sorry that you are unhappy about our pricing but let me assure you that it is common practice for it to be cheaper to order larger quantities. 2 half pints are more expensive than a pint and 4 pints are more expensive than a 4 pint jug. A large glass of wine is better value than a... More

Went to the Swan for a change rather than the Bowl as noticed it had been refurbished. The place has been totally transformed and not a shadow of the dreary old pub it was before. Welcoming light decor with a great fresh menu. Only had an hour for lunch so quick pint and a home made 'Swan Burger' ordered. Food... More

We chose this hotel as it was close to the motorway and therefore convenient, this proved to be its only merit. The room was in an ugly annexe outside the pub looking over the car park. The room felt cold and damp. We managed to get the heating on though we had no instructions. The mattress was obviously the cheapest... More

We popped in here for a quick weekday lunch. The place has just been taken over and was still being re-decorated, and now has a young, enthusiastic couple running it. They have transformed the atmosphere and the food. A new chef has brought in fresh, (largely) local ingredients whose origin is listed on a blackboard. We had one starter between... More

The Swan Hotel really does not live up to the "Hotel" label. Think youth hostel or student accommodation instead. The accommodation block is separate from the pub and the damp musty smell as I entered it, followed by the sight of mould growing up the walls and over the shower in my room was inexcusable. The heating is either on... More
