Very impressive when coming up the drive. Beautiful decor in the lounge, makes you feel welcome. Staff very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the meals, thought the main course (middle) portions were very large, even when asked for small portions (not really a complaint just a observation). No complaints regarding the bedroom, although the bath panel needs fixing. More

Had a night at Friars Carse, upgraded to Bridal sweet for an extra fee. Great Hotel, Great room,Great walks out and a coffee and Brandy by the fire!! Just Ace!! This was an excellent overnight stop and rather quaint. It was quiet there were not many residents but it was mid week in winter. It would be a great place for a wedding reception as the grounds and surrounding countryside are just beautiful. The building itself originates from 1800's.
