My husband and I stayed at Stance Cottage for one night in April '13 while completing the West Highland Way walk. Susan invited us into her home when she saw us arrive, wet and muddy, very much earlier than the usual check in time. Our room was warm and comfortable, and we had the sole use of a bathroom along... After a long walk we arrived at stance cottage, just next to the bridge of orchy hotel. A old fashion, but cosy place. Good beds and nice rooms, good breakfast and lots to read. :) not to much noise and lovely people. If you like feeling at home you will prefer this much above the hotel next door.

My husband and I and Milie the dog stayed at Stance cottage about 7 years ago before it was restored and it was a holiday cottage. I loved the cottage then, we had a great time. We stayed for 1 week. It was May and we had lovely weather, i remember sitting in the garden with the sun shinning. We... More

Warm welcome, nice bedroom and living room. A bit disappointed that I was left on my own, being the only guest on the night. A cover was given for my bike, thanks. Recommended, as a great place to have a break.

Very good place to stay at the end of one of the stages of the West Highland Way. Very clean and tidy but the bathroom was very tiny. Breakfast and packed lunch were good too. The lady running the cottage was very welcoming and told us if we wanted to eat we would have to go to the Hotel next... More

This B&B is built for a group of 4. There are two rooms which each outfit two people, one of which is ensuite and the other has a bathroom down the hall. My boyfriend and I stayed in the room with the bathroom down the hall, while his parents stayed in the en suite room. The actual room was very... More

Perfect place for two couples walking the west highland way. The two rooms were very nice and the breakfast room also doubles as a living room. We enjoyed spreading out. Breakfast and the sack lunches were grand. We had an excellent dinner next door at the hotel (unexpected). Joe and Susan were grand hosts, My only regret is that I... More

We walked the last three days of the West Highland Way, leaving a car at Fort William and getting the bus to Bridge of Orchy.
