We stayed at Westover Hall in January and it was a delight: an amazing Edwardian wooden panelled entrance hall with glorious stained glass windows, quirky rooms, large, warm yet chic and stylish sitting room for drinks and fabulous food served by a chef who knew what he was doing - plus an amazing location seconds from the beach. We booked... More

I have visited this hotel twice, once as a couple and once with friends. On both occasions it did not fail to live up to expectations. Gorgeous peaceful setting with lovely beach walks; stunning interior that is elegant without being stuffy. Lovely food. I really love the big picture window lounge looking out over The Needles. The only downside is that... More

The hotel is located in an interesting Victorian building of the Arts and Crafts style, which has retained many of its original features. The back of the hotel has wonderful views over the Solent, and there is a short walk down from the hotel through the garden to the beach and spectacular views of the Isle of Wight and the... More

We purchased a voucher for dinner, bed and breakfast from Telegraph Select, which seemed astonishing value at £95 for two. But then, we thought, perhaps the hotel would not be up to expectations... Bong! It was a delight from start to finish. A quirky Arts and Crafts mansion, with all the period detail intact, but 21st century mod cons where... More

Through Groupon we had purchased an afternoon tea voucher including champagne so were excited to go and try this new location as it looked lovely on the internet. On arrival there is good parking and the reception looks fantastic but that is as far as it goes, it was downhill from there on in! We were shown to the room... More

We were expecting something quite special for £200 a night and were, it has to be said, very disappointed. We booked Pebbles, a suite in the cottage next to the hotel and were treated to more of a bed sit. The bed is small, the quilt handkerchief sized and the 'lounge' spartan to say the least. The staff tried hard... More

A surprise three day break in the Hotel we have been 'eyeing up' for some time. Frequent visitors to this part of the country we have stayed in various hotels but have always wondered what it would be like here. We took advantage of the special offer and we were not disappointed. We could find no fault with the food,... More

brought a voucher on groupon fpr afternoon tea... so decided we would go for our 7 year wedding anniversary - surroundings were lovely and staff really friendly, however the afternoon tea was of a very low standard... sandwiches were ok but not enough and the cakes were awful - scones were the only exception- i enjoy baking myself and know... The guest party consisted of a couple in their 50's on a weekend away in March The 'Superior' room was booked online approximately two weeks prior to the stay, full tariff was paid for the two nights. The hotel is a Grade 2 listed building and as such must present its owners with issues when it comes to maintenance and... More
