We spent two nights there and didnt want to leave. They tooks us on 2 night drive and bush walk as they explained all about the flora and fauna as well as the tracks left behind, even right in the camp, at your front door! The food was great and people were even better, they went out of their way to... More

We escaped to Kigio for a couple of nights before a hectic business trip to Nairobi, and I can highly recommend doing this. It only took a couple of hours to get there from Nairobi and the camp is in such a beautiful and quiet location that you forget all about the stress and tension of a long flight. We... More

We stayed at the Malewa Lodge - I believe adjacent to the Kigio Wildlife Lodge - which was pleasant and friendly. Our hut - LangaLanga - was huge and had a balcony overlooking the river full of hippos. Short walk to the main hut/dining area - if it has rained recently, be careful as the trail gets muddy. The food... More

to book the lodge takes the highest efforts and nerves because there are several phone numbers and most of the guys(ladies) who respond ask to call the other number. the last one will always tell, that they will call you back. they WILL NOT. when you are already close to break down you shout and scream, nothing much changes. but... Tucked way off the road and against a river, this camp strives to be eco-friendly while providing all the necessities and a few luxuries. We stayed two nights after being at the Ark and we were first given an overview of the limitations of ammenities. Hot water times were clearly explained as were times of electric power (solar source). The... More

A group of 21 of us spent 2 nts here while on safari. One of the most wonderful things about our safari was the variation in accommodations. Kigio was most authentic, 'huts' amongst the animals. While you really can't call these huts, they were tent like in that 3 of the outside walls were canvas and had zippers that would... More

We only stayed 1 night at this camp but it was gorgeous and would like to have spent more time there. It had been raining when w arrived so was very slippery walking in. The rooms are huge with wall to wall glass looking over the river. The shower was super and the hot water bottles better. Our evening meal... More

We stayed here for one night as part of a safari and I wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms are huge and very comfortable. The view from our balcony was very lush and green. It was a bit chilly in the room once the sun set, but the hot water bottle helped warm up the bed. Staff will... More
