Our fishing club have stayed for 4 nights at the Northern Sands for three years now and is an ideal base for fishermen who enjoy the limestone lochs of Caithness. Donald and Shirley are great hosts and the food is excellent. Well worth a visit and not over priced either.

Walked in late and without a reservation, but the manager, who had ran out of family rooms, did his best to accomodate us in a double. Delicious dinner (innovation and freshness). Room ok, though compact, windowed bathroom. Very nice breakfast, excellent service. Will come back during my next travel in the Highlands.
