Stayed over on route north to visit friends in Scotland, lovely location and good service, this hotel however is in need of some TLC, cleanliness is not fantastic and if they put some effort into the detail our stay would have been much better.
Our room on the 1st floor was well equiped but a little tired and in need...

My wife and I ignored a dreadfull review and went with the majority, which were full of praise. We weren't disappointed! We were greeted by friendly hardworking people who couldn't do enough to make our stay a happy one. The room was very large for the price, the cleanliness A1 and the quality of the food was excellent. OK it...

Arrived late evening and were offered the keys to rooms 11 and 8, up on reaching the second floor we were amazed to find that the door to room 11 was totally blocked by what appeared to fly tipping!! It was in fact a large pile of bedding (extremely dirty and stained) clothing and a soiled toilet brush!!! Upon entering...

Stayed for one night to break our trip. The lady who served us our breakfast was lovely and friendly - the person who greeted us couldn't care about anything very much. It just seemed so delapidated and unloved. A good manager who had an eye for decoreation and the energy to use a paintbrush - and then offer some service...
