Lovely hotel. Pleasant staff. Good food, comfortable rooms. The grounds are lovely and the view from the room (if you have a mountain-view) are to die for! Good service! Close to shopping and nice walks around town.

Having stayed at Mayfair hotels in Darjeeling and Gangtok, I found this hotel little less appealing. Hotel staff is helpful but at times feels reserved and responds to your requests only when asked. The location, service, facilities and staff couldn't be better. The proprietors are very accommodating, kind and helpful. Despite the formal atmosphere and setting, the hotel creates a homely feel, particularly by the proprietors. Drink in the views and the comfort.

after an excruciating car ride from bagdogra to pelling ,we drove into this wonderful old property which has been restored to its splendour beautifully. Overlooking the Kunchenjunga range -the wonderful view from most of the rooms,- it is surrounded by verdant green forests.Totally relaxing and the staff goes out of the way to make you comfortable.

Elgin Mount Pandim, Pelling is the one place where you will feel that all your life this place has been waiting for you to arrive. The amazing view of Mt Kanchenjunga and the entire range is just breath-taking. You would just want to sit and keep looking, you just can't get enough of it.

On this trip we stayed at 3 Elgin hotels. This was the most modern and newly developed. Comfortable with nice gardens and an excellent view of the mountains. Nothing close by except the monastery but there is nothing else in Pelling. Great staff, clean with good food. We had a suite that was large and comfortable.
