Very convenient location, right outside the ferry terminal. We had a couple of room combinations - twin rooms, deluxe (triple sharing) and a suite room. Rooms on Level 2 are nicely renovated and have a modern feel, third level rooms are still old and dated. Suite is extremely big with a living/common area for gatherings. Shampoo and shower gel are available upon requests too. Downside - There's no lift, so groups with elderly might need to climb up and down, the breakfast... just go out for breakfast. Just across the hotel is a Bak Kut Teh shop that serves excellent food. Go for it (the dry one is awesome!) Money changer just opposite the hotel too with a convenience shop (provision shop) right next to it. Oh and there's no hair dryer in the normal rooms so you might want to bring along one if you have. Hair dryer is available in the suite rooms but it's attached to the bathroom.

One night at there. Price is good, must improve the staff attitude and services. Bad first impression. Some staff still need train how to face up with guest. But overall it make sense with your budget to be a backpacker.

It's always nice to be able to check in right after arriving at the ferry terminal. The hotel is just a short walk away, and in the main part of town. Karimun Island is also not too big, which makes this hotel a good budget choice. Rooms are acceptably clean and basic. They just renovated the 2nd floor rooms and are beginning on the 3rd, so prices may rise. Breakfast is served in the morning in the dining hall near the seaside. Don't expect much, it's usually just fried rice, noodles, toast, and eggs. You may request for the eggs to be cooked in whatever style you wish. Coffee and tea. Wifi is available in the lobby and at certain locations along the corridors of the upper levels. If you're lucky you can get the room right next to the router.

For the price, nothing much to complain.Very close to the port.1minute walk to hotel once u exit customs. No point getting sea view as the sea got nothing much other than ferries n boats.Hotel staff will book for u the ferry for ur trip back.Friendly people everywhere except for those guys at the port whom try brainwash u to get their taxi for finding girls.

My friends and I(3 of us) stayed here for 2 nights. It is the nearest hotel from the Port and got special entrance/lane to get there on your left when going out from the Port,s main entrance. For Rp242K/day for 3 person,it is OK, with simple breakfast, usually fried mee and rice + half boiled eggs. We wish the hotel provides bread, kaya, toaster and fruits especially for people who cannot take heavy breakfast. Free wifi but very slow It is also near to shopping areas (Jalan Nusantara). You could buy telekung, batik, coffee etc. But for shoes, bags, and ready wear cloth, I was told, you can get a better price and varieties in Batam. The food stall besides the hotel also sell best avocado juice in town for the price of Rp11K. The staff can help you with Port check-in together with Port tax(Rp60k) and boarding fee(Rp25k). They also can give info on travelling and sightseeing. If you love karaoke, Bingo is the place. From 12pm-6pm, they offer 50% discount(=Rp35k/hour).You could take oplet(public van) Rp3k anywhere you like to go around town.

I was there from 15 to 17th Mar 2012. Took the room on the third floor, room facing the sea. Aircon and water heater working very well. Hotel staff leaves you alone in complete privacy unless if you need any service from them, they are prompt and courteous. However very little English understood. Choose the rooms on the 3rd floor, where you can see the sea. Free internet at the restaurant. Ideal for people who needs complete relaxation.!

I stayed here with my 3 friends in a deluxe room with no sea view.. And we have to move from 1 room on the first floor to this room at 2nd floor because of foul odor from the bathroom.. The service was okay, cause they fix this problem after we complained. Rooms with AC, and hot water. The hotels located near the harbor, just 5 mins walking, and a good place to starts to roam the rest of the town. Overall, it was okay if you just need a place to stay overnight.

This hotel is located in the town of Tanjung Balai, the main settlement on the island of Karimun in the Riau Archipelago. The hotel is built in the shape of a long jetty pointing out into the sea, so all of the rooms have great sea views. All of the rooms are also air conditioned and have hot water and TV. Being objective, there was really nothing to fault with the room. The hotel also has a restaurant which looks out over the sea. The food was good but service was not great. Overall, for rp140,000 for a double room this hotel is a great choice and represents the best value hotel that I have stayed at in Indonesia in recent years.
