The rooms are like a doss house, its awful. Dirty, dank, filthy, peeling paint, dirty carpets, dirty bathroom, holes in bathroom lino, holes in wall. We called in on Monday evening, 8th October. Whilst the beer was good, we found the food to be extremely poor & the staff were totally unfriendly .We have eaten at the Plough regularly over the years when holidaying in Whitby and always enjoyed our visits but will definitely not be returning.
