The most remarkable thing about Oyster is the team. David and Ollie as managers have an enlightened approach with a truly great understanding of the culture and nature of the local people. But it is the people who staff Oyster that made this the most memorable place I have ever been too. So much so that when we were leaving... More

Oyster Island made my Easter. This little resort is the perfect escape. You can spend day's on a kayak exploring the different Islands and beaches that make up this marine reserve. Don't miss the Matevulu Blue Hole which is an easy 45 minute scenic paddle up the river just in front of the resort. All the bungalows are 100% water... More

Spent 6 nights at Oyster Island at the start of March with my sister. Fantastic spot! Staff were all so great and friendly. Getting to know the people appeals so much more to me than the impersonal feeling of larger resorts. Everone was happy to chat and ready to help us work on our Bislama :) Food was very good.... More

First visit to Santo. Oyster Island was recommended by a friend. Excellent choice. We stayed in a deluxe bungalow (no 7) for 3 nights. Clean, comfortable, delicious food, great service and staff. I have to mention the "Mawpaw" cocktail of the day. To die for....Relaxing experience !

Best holiday we’ve had…ever! Seriously, if you’re looking for total relaxation in a breathtakingly beautiful paradise then look no further. Oyster Island certainly lived up to its name as the Pearl of Santo. In fact, we think it’s the Pearl of the whole South Pacific! And we’ve been to a few countries so this rates way up there. We stayed... More

We spent 5 nights at Oyster Island resort on the recommendation of my sister in law. She was right on the money in advising it was a great place. We were made welcome from the moment the boat picked us up after we rang the gas bottle to advise that we were there. The rooms were lovely and spacious and... More

What can I say....from the moment we landed all went well for our holiday of 10 nights. Have to say Olly and David and all the happy and obliging staff just made it a great break from a busy lifestyle/work. The rooms were as expected and the lapping of water at different times heard from our Bungalow (No.4) which was... More

This is a long review because there is so much to say about Oyster Island and Santo, so I'll break this into four sections. 1) The resort: arriving at the resort was stepping into a world of laid back relaxation. The grounds are immaculate, the staff friendly, the atmosphere calm and quiet. There are only twelve bungalows, all on the... More

We have taken Oyster Island low season special, stay 7 pay for 5. A cute little ferry takes you a short distance accross the clear water. We were accommodated in one of the newer bungalows no. 10. The bungalows are spacious and clean right on the water edge where at high tide you can hear the water gently lapping below... More

We stayed 4 nights at Oyster Island and didn't want to leave! The location is peaceful and beautiful. As soon as you cross in the little ferry its like you're in another world (although Santo itself is a great place to be). All the staff are really friendly and helpful - thanks Casper, John, Natasha and Fiona for a great... More
