My second visit to The Crown Inn and I was not disappointed. This is a very pleasant spot, particularly in good weather when you can enjoy a beer or a pot of tea in the garden. The accommodation was very comfortable (I was in one of the outbuildings this time although I remember the room in the main building being... More

Lovely period place and dog/child friendly, however we ate in the resturant and were disappointed by service. Not given menus until we asked for them and after receiving our meal were not checked onto see if everything ok. Staff seemed a little hap hazard with service and having eaten at other places locally they need to improve overall quality of... More

Just back from The Crown and our Group of 6 would strongly recommend. Good, peaceful base for trips and walks, Chef could not have done more, all staff friendly. Breakfast choice set us up for the day and despite iffy weather we all enjoyed our stay. More

This is a lovely, traditional, old Inn with a mass of character. There is a massive wood burner in the bar area which makes for a good focal point. We only visited for a dinner. The food was good, well cooked and plenty of it. We had the sirloin steaks which were cooked to our liking and served with mushrooms,... More

What a lovely pub, very old with a charming garden, great selection of real ale, Food great, although better crackers needed to deal with crab claws and a scooper to get the meat out would be good. Lovely room, no frills but very quiet. This pub seems a world away from everything but is in fact beautifully located for many... More

Stayed at the Crown on three separate occasions now and unable to fault it! Good food, normally four real ales on tap. Great value for B & B. More

We have had lunch here on several occasions and it never disappoints. The setting of this old pub is beautiful and you can also stay there, but although the food on this trip was as good as ever, the attitude of the staff was somewhat disappointing. When we asked where the menus were, we were shrugged off with a pointed... More

We have had dogs for over 20 years, and they always come on holiday with us when holidaying in the UK, hotels, self catering, pubs. All the staff seemed to be dog friendly people. This place is so dog friendly you won't believe it. Our dog was given a cooked sausage every morning, from the kitchen, not from our plates... More

We'd had a meal at this pub a year or so ago and been very impressed so when we recently discovered that rooms were available at very reasonable rates (about £40 for two including a full Cornish breakfast) we decided to try an overnight stay. Although this atmospheric 12th century pub is set in a tiny, quiet village seemingly miles... More

Having enjoyed a great stay at The Crown Inn for a Valentines weekend 3 years ago my wife booked a surprise weekend for us in December and once again we were not dissapointed! This is a cosy Cornish Inn, in a good location, offering really good food, comfortable accommodation friendly staff and a great Cornish breakfast! Can't wait for our... More
