This hotel has not been designed by some fashionable architect from Paris or Dubai so it still has personality. It is not perfect, but our room felt comfortable, the castle itself is just gorgeous. We spent two nights here on the way south. Our room was comfortable and grand although the bed was hard. The lighting was poor throughout the hotel with timer switches and low wattage bulbs. We had two excellent meals in the evening. The grounds are lovely and the owners very helpful and welcoming. We would like to return.
