On arrival the exterior looked very tired,and run down - weeds on the paths, peeling paint etc. Went to reception, receptionist was on the phone filing her nails and completely ignored us for a few minutes. We finally went to our room commenting that the hotel appeared to be empty and certainly gave the impression of being a "ghost hotel"....

Water from the lake reaches in 4 kms, belong the Velino River, the most important (Marmore) waterfalls in Europe. The hotel provides 46 rooms with private bathroom and represents a true oasis of tranquillity, with its hospitable and refined atmosphere.Fresh air and air conditioning: in the 30’s the futuristic painter and architect from Terni, Giuseppe Preziosi, was commissioned to create the designs for the Hotel del Lago Piediluco, on the site of a former summer camp that profited from the clean air of the magnificent venues of southern Umbria. The hotel, subsequently modified with the addition of the two upper floors, today has two elevators and, since 2005, also has air conditioning. It has convenient parking available for guests, a small natural park that surrounds it, a bar, convention center, two restaurants, summer solarium and other small conveniences.
