We live about 25 miles from the Torrs Warren and visited for the first time last night. Won't be the last time, we really enjoyed our meal and the warm welcome. The surroundings are beautiful, as is the old manse that now is home to the hotel and on a lovely sunny day, it was great to sit outside with... More

We have just spent three great nights at Torrs Warren and could not have been made more welcome or enjoyed better service. The staff were both efficient and friendly as were the owners, Jim and Cindy. It is a brilliant place to be able to relax in beautiful surroundings. The rooms are large, comfortable and spotless and the meals were... More

Hotel is situated in lovely quiet countryside and is ideal for visiting the many gardens and attractions in the area. We had a friendly welcome and were shown to a pleasant, spotless room. Food was good, and plenty of it, especially the fresh salmon we had for dinner on our first night. Jim and Cindy were great hosts and nothing... More

Having just stayed at the hotel we found it very pleasant and Jim was a great host. However the hotel was situated in a very remote area and there was nothing to do, the nearest place was Port Patrick which after a couple of hours there was nothing else to see or do. The breakfast time was a bit too... More

My wife and I called for lunch on the 12th December and had a starter (prawn coctail) and main course of roast Turkey and all the trimmings finished by coffee. What a treat. Cost just over £12.50 each and the meal was well worth every penny. I was that full I could not manage sweet! Jim the owner welcomed us... More

The Torrs Warren is a perfect example of Scottish Hospitality. Myself and a group of four others spent 22 nights at the Torrs Warren on business. I travel internationally quit often and have always stayed in the big hotels. This was my first exposure to a smaller inn and the intimacy this setting can provide. By the end of the... More

We've eaten here loads of times before over a number of years. Previously the food has been wholesome, no-nonsense pub grub. Last few times have been a bit less fulfilling &, after our last visit, we wouldn't rush back. Nothing was terrible, but there just seemed something a bit missing from every course - soup not very hot, beef a... More

This hotel is located very close to my work in a very remote part of Scotland. Located in a small, quite, friendly town of Stoneykirk, it is set in the rolling hills close to the coast. Food was great, and portions were very large...you will not go hungry. The evening discussion around the fire place were fun. You might even... More

You’ll find the Torrs Warren Hotel at the end of a short drive around 400 yards from Stoneykirk village centre. Formally an old vicarage, the hotel has a lovely ambiance with lots of oak panelling combined with a large, very tastefully furnished conservatory restaurant. Whilst the rooms vary quite considerably in size (ours was the ‘wee front’ for example) they... More
