Wanting a base to tour some of the Zulu battlefields, we chose to stay in this rather 'off the beaten track' Lodge. We were certainly not disappointed. The valley itself is a hidden gem, unspoilt & verdantly green, with an abundance of flaura & fauna. The lodge is lovely. We ate dinner by candlelight & silver, surrounded by prints of... More

We stayed two nights at the Babanango Valley Lodge and absolutely loved it. This small cosy loge is situated on its own in a large valley of beautiful wilderness. The rooms are spacious and decorated in old colonial style. From the pool you overlook the valley and can se impalas and wildebeest walking by. The service is outstanding and staff... More

In the middle of nowhere you will find this gem! The rooms are decorated with antiques and every detal was thought of, breakfast & lunch is healthy and prepared with care. The hotel has a bit of a colonial atmosphere. We would definatly come back here. Also they have a great pool.

We stayed at the Lodge for 2 nights and were treated like royality! The location is absoultely stunning and very secluded, ideal for spending some quality romantic time with my wife. The staff had arranged for champagne and cheese platter down by Wedding rocks which was a lovely touch. We were the only guests apart from one other lady staying... More

After travelling 12 km down a bumpy dirt road, you suddenly arrive at this oasis of peace and calm with wonderful views down the valley. We were given a warm welcome, shown to our delightful room (spacious and individually furnished, with lots of welcome little touches), and provided with tea by the swimming pool. The three course dinner, and generous... More

My wife and two year old daughter stayed at Babanango Valley Lodge for a couple of nights in early January. The drive off the main road and into the nature reserve, sets the scene for what is a remote and tranquil setting. The lodge commands fantastic views down the valley with not another sign of human life anywhere to be... More
