We stayed for just one night as we had booked a late dinner at the Curlew nearby and didn't fancy that late drive back to 'The Smoke'. The room (Padyhame) was large but still cosy, with a great compact ensuite shower room & loo. The only negative was the lack of a clothes rail or wardrobe, but there were lot's... More

If you want to get away from it all in a welcoming pub with fantastic food, beer and accommodation, then look no further. We live close by in Bexhill and just wanted to take ourselves away from home for the night and to unwind - and we could not have chosen a better place to do it. Would highlighly recommend... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here on Saturday night as a reccomendation from a local restaurant called The Curlew and we were not dissapointed, The Bar area had a nice local warm feel about it and then our room was beautiful, massive King size bed and lovely separate shower and toilet rooms. The candlelight breakfast with the snow falling was... More

Thank you very much for your lovely reveiw and I am really pleased you liked staying with us in "Pooke". It is one of my favourite rooms too and what with the snow falling in the morning, I have to agree that is was a magical Sunday morning! We always appreciate feedback and I am so sorry that the toiletries... More

If you fancy a quiet weekend break, in picturesque village, local pub with roaring log fire, fantastic food and rooms then stay here. We were down for a wedding at the end of October and stupidly failed to book a taxi (it is rural). These guys couldn't do enough for us and that included all the locals at the bar,... More

Where to start? I have stayed here on business 4 or 5 times now and I really cannot find any faults with The George! This fabulous old coaching inn has picturesque views over the old high street from the dining area and some of the bedrooms. They have 4 rooms in total and the 2 that I have stayed in... More

We stayed at The George for our wedding night in October 2011 and it is absolutely delightful. The staff and management are so friendly, the locally sourced food is delicious and the rooms are so comfortable and well appointed. We could not have chosen better. You will not be disappointed staying at The George. It is absolutely charming !! More

I stayed at The George Inn on Friday October 7th 2011. If there is a more comfortable, amenable and well-located boutique hotel anywhere in Sussex, I’m looking forward to staying there. The George is everything a small hotel should be – well appointed, locally sourced food, great beers and hospitable without being overbearing. The rooms are absolutely spotlessly clean, the... More

Unable to book a hotel for a few days holiday, we were dubious about staying in a "Pub with Rooms". To our delight, our doubts were totally unfounded, indeed, the management & staff at "The George" could teach many hoteliers a lesson (we've stayed at Best Westerns, Johansens & other recommended hotels so have many establishments to compare!). Our room... More

Stayed here for 3 days for friend's son's wedding in Frant. Location was good. Hotel has 4 rooms all of which have been recently refurbished in boutique style. We stayed in Padyhame which was very pleasant and the bed was comfy. Small but perfectly formed en suite. Only downside was that I would have loved a chair to do my... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here (3 nights). Very nice room and bathroom, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast included. We also had dinner 2 nights, very good food and relaxed atmosphere. The staff and owners were great, very gracious and friendly. Would love to stay again sometime! More
