We were greeted by very friendly staff and shown to our rooms in the Cape Dutch Homestead, built in the early 1800's. I was in the suite used by the State President and his wife in the 1960's. Filled with antique furniture, but mod-cons such as bar fridge and TV .. and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in.The... More

Have just spent a marvelous weekend away with friends. We ate, drank and slept in amazing accommodation. I would recommend Die Eike to everyone who needs "time-out". We hired 7 rooms and for meals we went Tin House in Rawsonville for supper the first night, Jasons Hill for breakfast the first morning and Opstal for lunch. All very good. We... More

Enjoyed our farm stay on the working fruit, grape & vegetable farm. Rooms in old historic house or in the outbuildings, very comfortable on suite includes electric blankets for the winter chill. Very friendly reception, restaurant on property, across the road from Goudini Spa. Close to restaurants in Rawsonville, wine farms in the Slanghoek valley, such as Opstal.

We stayed one night at die Eike and felt very welcome! From the warm welcome in the evening to the fresh breakfast and the coffee next to the fire place in the morning it was a very enjoable stay. Thank you to the new management for this nice experience!

Die Eike is nestled in the midst of many vineyards in the countryside of Western Cape. Right next to the property is a vineyard with rows and rows of wine grapes. The owner and staff were so helpful and friendly and treat you like family. Nolene was so sweet! The little restaurant next door, "The Dam Fine Cafe," was convenient... More

On 22 March 2011 we stayed for one night at Die Eike and, even though the stay was short, the attention and care during our stay by owners and staff was very warm. We felt like friends, not patrons. A very special 'Thank You' goes to Nolen for her efforts of getting our suitcases back to us which had been... More

I do not often get bowled over by an accommodation establishment easily but Die Eike was an absolute treasure that we found purely by chance. Their website does not do them justice and we really loved walking into the room - ice cold on a 39`C day - to find the room spacious and the bathroom huge. The history of... More

We stayed in March 2010 for three nights at Die Eike in the PB Botha room and enjoyed it. The farm is to find in the middle of vineyards, orchards and mountains just off the N2. There are horses and chickens and rabbits everywhere. We felt most welcomed, the hosts are very friendly and nice to talk to. What you... More

We (three couples) stayed at Die Eike at the beginning of December. It was the most amazing experience. The accommodation is superb ( I can highly recommend the Honeymoon Suite). There is also a lovely pool and we were able to braai in the evening - with our fantastic hosts supplying all our cutlery requirements. In the morning we had... More
