The most wonderful, quiet and peaceful place to stay. Food delicious. Good choice of wines. Very helpful advice on things to do and places to see. Provided free maps of the area. Convenient to get to and easy access to Northern Ireland. Will definately go back. More

We stayed in the main building and this was a very comfortable and welcoming place. Hosts are very friendly and accommodating. The house is beautiful and was exactly what we were looking for. Having the beautiful sights of Sligo to see throughout the day and then coming back to relax after your outings was just perfect. I would recommend this... More

We had driven past Kingsfort in 2006 and thought it was so lovely that we planned to stay there sometime. Unfortunately illness got in the way but we finally got there for a weekend break in early April 2008. We were not disappointed- although the house had re-opened just that day and we were the only guests, the welcome we... More

The atmosphere was charming, the gardens delightful. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. Though we declined a cooked breakffast, we enjoyed a lovely selection of mueselli, breads, fruit, etc. Bernard and his staff could not be more welcoming or accomodating. When we forgot to return our room key and phoned from Sligo, Bernard was only too willing to meet... More

My partner and I stayed here for a 2 nights since we had a wedding down the road in Dromahair. It was absolutely perfect for this as was a comfortable, luxurious place to come back to, plus we had our own front door so didn't have the problem of having to check what time doors are locked etc. Was also... My girlfriend and I stayed here for a weekend away and had an excellent weekend. Situated in Ballintogher, outside Sligo Town, we found it was quiet and peaceful enough for a relaxing break, but near enough to Sligo (about 10 mins drive) to nip in to town for some shopping or something to eat ( - Coach Lane restaurant was... We saw an ad in one of the national newspapers and had a look at Kingsfort's own website. Sounded appealing so booked a one night stay including dinner. Had some difficulty actually finding the place, partially due to the fact that Kingsfort Country House is in the middle of the village of Ballintogher. Greeted on arrival by Erin and taken... More

Lovely accomodation but all the hot water ran out and some of our party could not have showers (this was after being at a wedding). The Chef cooked us all breakfast both mornings there and it was totally under cooked and inedible. More

I have just come back from a trip to my native country and I came across a fabulous accommodation located in the village of Ballintogher in County Sligo. Everything was perfect from the friendly welcome to the newly decorated bedrooms and the food. We came across this hidden gem completely by chance. We were on our way to Sligo from... More
