Sage Creek was so much fun even just for a night. I prefer rugged outback camping and my wife prefers KOA with clean bathrooms and a feeling of security. The pit toilets were indeed very female friendly, the other campers were very friendly and they were all out there for the same reasons as us...beautiful views of the surrounding grasslands,... More

Nice campground - free - first come, first serve. I like this place because it is out in the middle of nowhere - far from Wall and in a more remote part of Badlands National Park. We stayed here our first night in the park. No water so be sure to bring your own. The cleanest pit toilets I've ever seen in my life, and I've seen many. I'm very much not a fan of pit toilets, but these were absolutely fine. One on each side of the area. It was the first week in June... More
