So close, but yet, so far! About three hours from urban LA, you'll find a place like no other. Joshua Tree NP offers something for everyone. Full of unusual rock formations, this is where beginner and advanced rock climbers test their strength and agility. Not into climbing? No problem, just take a hike and enjoy the desert scenery and note... More

This was a really great place to camp. It was actually more crowded than expected but it was very nicely kept up. It's in a great location to boulder around and look at this crazy landscape that looks like you are on the moon. It was SUPER windy when there- that was in May, not sure if that was normal... More

Wonderful campsite. Went for two nights from May 23rd and we practically had the campsite to ourselves. Got a bit windy at night but nothing unbearable. The view was spectacular form the tops of the rocks and is not too far from the entrance of the main park. good rocks to climb all around with fire pits and bathrooms nearby.... More

I stayed at the Indian Cove campground recently and fell in love. We visited on a Sunday in April, and we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. The rock formations are beautiful, and the site is within walking distance to some awesome climbing walls. We took a quick hike to Pixie Rock and enjoyed an afternoon top roping... More

We stayed two nights in Indian Cove Campgrounds. Our campsite was #33. I think it was one of the nicer campsites. Plenty of room for our two room tent & semi-private. I would definitely reserve this spot again! The night time sky was awesome-lots of planets rising, & a nearly full moon! The bathrooms are chemical so don't expect anything... More

We camped at site #89, which was on the very end and next to the road....but still isolated and right next to some beautiful rock formations and close to hiking trails. The non flushing clean bathroom nearby. Site included a picnic bench and fire pit with grill attached. We scaled the rocks, hiked around and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The... More

We camped for two nights, Sunday and Monday, during spring break at Indian Cove. I reserved the campsite after looking at pictures online and we were not disappointed. The rocks in Indian Cove are beautiful and hard to describe. We scrambled all over them, non-technical bouldering in hiking boots and sometimes climbing shoes. We rented a crash pad and a... More
