We had a great time at your lodge. Staff was friendly and the food was great. Especially loved the beautiful grounds. Was so nice to wake up, look out the window and see the trees reflection on the lake. Felt like paradise. The smores around the campfire was a nice touch, along with the guitar music. Especially loved the archery... More

We spent two nights at Montecito lodge beginning of may 2012 and have been completely satisfied with rooms, food and service. Not to forget: the great view on mountains and the perfect location to start hiking and exploring the Sequoia National Park. We arrived after the time for dinner, but the folks had saved some food for us which was... More

Over a 40 year period my husband and I have stayed in all types of lodging; everything from campgrounds to the Franciscan in San Francisco and the Hilton in Evanston (Chicago), Illinois. We found the Monticeto Sequoia Lodge to be charming and welcoming. Overall I'm always most concerned about a place being clean and they rated well on that. It... More

This is a "lodge, " not a "hotel.". In this case that means it's kind of ramshackle and banged up. The rooms are not posh. But the location, inside the park, is outstanding, the rates are reasonable, the wireless is free, and all the meals are included. And unlike a lot of other places in this neck of the woods... More

a great place for families. It may not be shiny, modern or new but it has an atmosphere all of its own. The meals which were included were great and there was something for everyone. Whilst there were no TVs in the rooms families were encouraged to spend time together playing games in the games room or sitting by the... More

There is so much I can say about this wonderful lodge with fantastic panoramic snow covered high mountian views. The vistas of the 12,000 ft elevation to 14,000 ft are beyond words. The chef is one of the best we have ever encountered, and we have been to 5 star hotels in Southern California Coastline many times. The food is... More

I booked a kingsize room and although the decor and the buildings were old with wood panelling from the seventies, I found it clean enough. The cabin was on the shore of a beautiful lake and you can see the mountains of the kings canyon from the deck ... A stunning setting, clone to the kings canyon road and generals... More

I visited Montecito Lodge with my partner in early April. The staff was absolutely fantastic - accommodating, helpful, and very kind. It is, indeed, a wonderful place for families but if you don't mind kids, it's a great place for couples too. If the noise came to be too much, it was easy for us to escape into the mountains... Our family is smitten with the Montecito Sequoia Lodge. Found it online and decided to make a reservation for one night (moving to the John Muir Lodge the second night). This place is absolutely perfect for the price and we liked it so much we cancelled at the John Muir Lodge. All meals are included and it made for a... More

This place isn't worth that money in any, way, shape, or form. Anybody that says this is great for couples was hit on the head. This is only for large families, and people who want to deal with children throughout your entire stay. During our stay their was a large group that had at least five kids. They were in... More
