Not great start as had to wait long time for rooms to be ready - eventually housekeeper took control, not receptionist or manager. No real apology - we were made to feel we had arrived too early! Were in rooms 107/109 - pleasant rooms but SO overheated - possibly because directly above leisure area. Very difficult to sleep. Dinner and... More

Stayed here as I was attending a wedding at the hotel. We parked at the front of the hotel and were instantly impressed. The place looks amazing, with great views of the lake and golfcourse. The main guest areas are beautiful, they are wonderfully decorated and have a real sense of luxuary. Stayed in one of their standard double rooms... More

Booked in for a recent weekend package of 2 X BB & one evening meal deal in an Executive Room. We were pleased on our Friday arrival to be offered an upgrade to a junior suite and the view of the lough from the room on this sunny evening was stunning. The room was quite contemporary but I like a... More

We thought we had done well to get a weekend deal at this hotel. Whether it was the luck of the draw or because of the deal we will never know but we ended up in room 305 which should only just get a two star rating. Our friends didn't fair any better in room 309. The bathroom was pokey... More

Visited on 6th May and although had booked a suite, stayed in the luxury suite. This was fab in contremporary design with dining/ sitting area and a seperate bedroom with ensuite. We... More

We stayed here for a wedding and were not impressed by anything. 1. How is this hotel got 4 stars? Compare this to the ice house hotel in ballina and you will know what I mean. The decor is very dated in the accommodation areas much akin to an 80's 3 star hotel. 2. We paid 140 pounds for one... More

Myself and husband stayed here on 12th July 2011 for a night on our way from Belfast to Co Mayo. We got an average rate for one night b&b but on arrival found our room at the top of the hotel small and dark with a window high up so we could not see out. I clambered up to see... More

I booked into the Manor House Hotel in April 2012 as I was attending my cousin's wedding. Initially I thought that £140 for a double room on a Thursday night was quite expensive for a four star hotel. However, as I was travelling from Co.Wexford I decided to book it as i didn't know the area very well. I looked... More

My husband and I are just back from a weekend break at the Manor House which we thoroughly enjoyed. The setting is beautiful.
