Booked as part of a package it ticked the boxes for price, location and friendly staff. Big rooms, gorgeous beach across the road and places to walk. Fruit stalls abound (pawpaw and bananas for breakfast) and there's a mini-mart for provisions, so with the good cooking facilities you can survive without a restaurant (although there are several around). Plus my... More

YUCK just sums it up, We stayed here in March 2012, we are a couple in our mid 20's and were planning to stay here for a budget wedding planning trip, we were put in the room behind the stairs & office, the carpet had stains the ceiling fan only went on one setting and was noisey, the toilet stunk,... The rooms here are lovely and fresh. The pool outside was easy to get into and we generally lazed around. The staff were friendly and Lottu took care of all our needs. We used their snorkle gear and spent many hours in the lagoon across the road looking at all of the different colourful fish. Great place for couples or... More

We spent 5 days at the Puaikura Reef....We were met at the airport by the staff at the hotel...The rooms were clean and tidy...and towels replaced each day...and we also had a small kitchen area where we would prepare our own food.....There was a small table and chairs placed outside our room where we could spend time relaxing with a... Had the wow factor. Lotu had excellent communication skills and was able to answer any questions about anything we needed to know about attractions and food places for us on a budget.Clean and tidy and better stil beach just across the main road and cafe next door and a store for any little things we needed and the bus stops.... Our stay at Puaikura didnt feel like just ordinary accomodation, it had more of a community feel to it. In the morning guests would be mingling in the communal courtyard, the care taker picking and breaking coconuts from the poolside tree for them to enjoy. When we would walk to our room (2) we would be greeted by other guest... More

We stayed 4 days at Puaikura Reef Lodge and enjoyed being in the older part with louvre windows that were open all the time, rather than the newer part with ranchsliders. Across the road is a lovely beach and we swam a lot. Coral shoes are ideal & supplied by the lodge. Standing up in the water it is so... More

We had an INCREDIBLE time staying at Puaikura Reef Lodge. The hospitality from Lotu, Sue and family were amazing. We stayed one night in the lode, and then was moved to a private cottage further up the road. Even though we were off-site, we were very well looked after the entire time. Our accommadation was amazing, as was all the... More

We were greeted warmly at the airport and the warmth from the staff continued without fail throughout our whole time spent here. We loved every moment and found the staff very easy to converse and deal with. The beach was just across the road and having a store and cafe next door was just the best. What a great place... More
