What a great hidden gem, we spent one night here on our tour of Costa Rica, I wish we could have stayed longer. The cabins are rustic, no A/C, TV or mini bar just the sounds of nature. The cabins are very open and close to each other but that just adds to the charm. We loved the porch with... More

What a wonderful experience Chachagua Rainforest Hacienda is. My girlfriend and I booked this place on a coupon site and decided to make our first trip to Costa Rica without having an perception of what we had ahead of us. This place was absolutely amazing and exactly what we needed in our search for relaxation and self-realization. We went in... More

My friend and I stayed in one of the lovely cabins at Chachagua. Our travel guide was right - very 'Frank Lloyd Wright-esque'. We loved relaxing outside on the large deck with couches and hammock in the evening. And the rain shower surrounded by windows made it seem like you were showering outside in the rainforest. Falling asleep to all... More

Our 4 night stay was great. We stayed in one of the bungalow/cabins whose deck w/ seating area and hamock was nearly as large as th room! A very nice place to read in the morning before everyonr wakes up. the restaurant was good and priced very reasonably. Our kids also loved the farm - 10 piglets were born the... More

The rainforest hotel was an amazing place to stay. I highly recommend it. The food at the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. If your looking for wildlife there is so much on site you barely have to leave. We stayed here and drove into La Fortuna to do activities... it is just close enough where the drive isn't too... More

Chachauga = the best way to experience the Arenal/La Fortuna area! It was our first stop and after crazy workweeks leading up to the trip and a horrific day of travel delays...all we wanted to do was RELAX. And boy, did Chachauga deliver! We stayed here for two nights and made sure to wait until the very last minute to... More

This hotel/lodge was great! My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night visit. The drive from the main road to the property is about 10 minutes on a horrifically rocky, pot-hole ridden road, but once you arrive you are in rainforest heaven! The cabins are much nicer than we expected. The bathroom was HUGE with a great shower. We... More

This hotel was totally paradise. The staff was very welcoming and also there to help at any time. My 12 year old daughter loved seeing all the animals on the small farm it has. We went on a 2 hr horse back ride with one of the cowboys which was a lot of fun. The continental breakfast of coffee, juice,... More

We spent 3 days at the hotel and had an amazing time. We had a warm welcome by the staff and we were happy to see that our bungalow was the last one on the trail where we enjoyed the privacy. The grounds are beautiful and the food was excellent. We had a lot of fun talking with the staff... More

There were some lovely things about this hotel but in general I was very dissatisfied with it. It was very difficult to find and the road was pretty bad. It was nice to be welcomed by the staff with drinks (but really they just seemed like a sugary drink). The room was nice but everything seemed so fake, like it... More
