We stayed in this hotel for three nights in mid March prior going to Varadero. We found that three nights in Havana were too many and two days would be plenty to see the famous places. When we first arrived (late at night, vey tired and exhausted) I was really impressed with the character and atmosphere of the building as... More

A nice hotel in old Havana, nearby all things you would see. Rooms (without a window) are clean, with airco, good bathroom and all other stuff a tourist needs. No restaurant inside, but on the other side of the street, with good meals and breakfast. Staff is friendly and helpfull.

This hotel was in a very good location in Havana Vieja. The room was big and clean although there were no windows as it is in an old monastery for monks. There is a lovely courtyard through the middle of the building which the bedrooms all sit off. Reasonably priced and the staff were helpful and friendly

This is probably this most unusual hotel I've ever stayed at... It was medieval themed, something really different from the standard, run of the mill hotels usually offered. The location was perfect (even though it meant having to drag our suitcases down cobbled streets as its all pedestrianised). The only niggles I had were this rooms were windowless (ref medieval... The hotel is a good location in old Havana but is currently in the middle of extensive roadworks. Access with cases entails a walk of a couple of hundred yards. We stayed there for our last night,of 12 days, in Cuba because (from the brochures) it seemed to offer a unique experience. Ultimately disappointed - it is more of a... More

Lovely Havana hotel in the middle of the cobbled streets of Habana Vieja. The greenery and skylight gives the place a really special atmosphere. We were upgraded to a very nicely appointed suite with balcony when we arrived, which was a nice surprise! The maid who took care of our room left us little notes of poetry every day, so... More

We stayed there for 3 nights. It is a hotel full of charm in the heart of old Habana,a few steps away from plaza vieja. It is beautifully decorated in a medieval-monastery style and special care has been given to every detail,so that the hotel is almost a sightseeing itself. We stayed in a room at the second floor. The room had no windows... When we first arrived I was really excited. This looks beautiful. The entrance from a quiet side street is charming and authentic. Its a converted monastry and the building is old, colonial dark and atmostpheric. The staff dressed as monks were charming and welcoming. We were offered a welcome mohito and sat admiring the central atrium feeling very pleased with ourselves.... More

The four of us had originally booked to stay at a casa particular for a few days in Havana, but when we arrived there we were informed that they did not have rooms for us at this house but had arranged for us to stay with their friends. We spent 2 nights here in Jan 2013 . Weeks before our arrival we desperately tried to contact both navelar and the hotel by phone and email to request a cancellation of our third night (change of plans) and find out if we could obtain a part refund. Impossible to get hold of them - the phone would just ring... More

Dear guest, First at all, thank you for choosing us and take the time to write an opinion about us. I'm going to respond you separately: When you said that you tried to contact us and you didn't receive any answer, I must say that's almost impossible, because we have 2 phone numbers for the guests (8629510 and 8639383), one...
