This was our first time in Curaçao and we booked our villa at Boca Gentil with Curacao Exclusief. It was a great company to work with - very prompt in their responses and arranged everything to make our trip and our stay as stress-free as possible. (Highly recommend that folks take advantage of the VIP arrival service.) The villa was exactly as described and it was situated in a great resort. The resort had all the amenities-a great beach with a choice of restaurants, a well-stocked grocery, a gym, a spa, etc. The villa was well appointed and the pool was cleaned twice during a one week stay. The resort is only 10-15 mins from Willemstad and 30 mins from the airport. The only downside to the stay were the mosquitoes; they are plentiful - particularly first thing in the morning and at dusk. They also warn you about not leaving any food out; there are cockroaches- we only saw two or three. This is a great place for a large group vacation where the goal is just to relax.…

We stayed at Hilltop 3, specifically because of the location (it's the nearest to Papagayo Beach Hotel), but also because of the comfort and amenities. We were pleasantly surprised! It's beautifully decorated. The view of the ocean (and sunsets) is just spectacular. It's very spacious indeed with 3 bedrooms, a huge living room and even bigger terrace/balcony. The bedrooms are the only rooms that are air-conditioned, but there are two big ceiling fans in the living room and you can open big sliding doors and shutters to ventilate. The beds are very comfortable and we both slept very very well. The kitchen is very complete with an oven, microwave, 4 burner stove (induction), dishwasher and a huge fridge with water and ice dispensers. Also a toaster, a water cooker and two coffee machines (Nespresso and Senseo). Also a washing machine which was very convenient. There are 3 buildings containing 12 apartments and they share a small pool between them. The pool is quite deep. On the shallow side I could barely stand on my toes (I'm 176 cm tall) and at the deep end I couldn't stand at all. I thought this was quite a strange way to build a pool. The gardens around the pool and the buildings are gorgeous and attract many birds. So in December it's rainy season, so there were some mosquitoes, but it wasn't as bad as I expected. The compound is very tranquil and also very safe since it's a gated community. You can use the Papagayo Beach Hotel's pools and lounges when staying here. But you can walk down to Zest or Zanzibar too if you want a change of scenery. There's a supermarket at Papagayo's but it's quite expensive. I'd suggest you get your first basic needs there and then go shopping at Vreugdenhil or Mangusa Hypermarket which are much bigger and also cheaper. Biggest tip would be to rent a car, to get around the island. Unless you only wanna stay at the beach all the long. Excellent excellent stay! …

Beautiful location, well equipped villa. Half an hour from the city, but restaurants and a grocery store on the premises. One thing that is not under control are the neighbors. We had a bad experience. Children plunging in the pool at six in the morning and crying and yelling all day. Such a disappointment. So if you like it ‘children friendly’ it is probably okay. We have older the children, and we all wished it was an adult only resort.

We found the people of this island to be classy and friendly in every way . We found wonderful places like Jaanchie's at Westpunt and Lemoncello near the Seaquarium . Food is wonderful and the grocery store at Vreugdenhill was fabulous .say hi to Carlos there !! It costs about the same as stores in the southern US but has everything fresh or frozen . All food is imported as the island ,being arrid , grows nothing other than cacti . Snorkelling is superb but most beaches need water shoes because the coral hurts . We were dissapointed in the music scene or lack of it but this is the case everywhere these days . Perfect weather every day ,beautiful beaches and great food and cheap wines . Boca Gentil is a safe clean gated community overlooking the ocean. We hope to go back some day . Cheers…

We rented a villa in Boca Gentil to share as a family; this made the trip cheaper than going to a hotel. We were greeted by a fantastic villa that gave us so much room. The main floor had a large open outdoor living and dining area that connected to the pool deck. The was a pass through to the kitchen and a large indoor livingroom. There were three rooms on the main floor, one being a large Master Bedroom, double sinks, and private bath. The other two shared a shower and bathroom. Downstairs there was another room that had its own entrance, sitting area, bathroom and outdoor space. Overall the house was amazing, there were some minor things like previous damage, and an ice dispenser that didn’t work, but those were all minor. We had to call the property rep for a A/C issue and they arrived shortly after our call. Can I give this a 5? No, due to the broken items... I will give this a high 4 though and would gladly come back. …

We stayed as a group of 8 in a villa for 10 days. Beautiful views and the facilities are well kept. It's a really easy drive to get to the site from the airport too. Overall we were happy with our visit

We rented an ocean-front four bedroom villa with a pool for four friends. The house was as promised and a very convenient walk to the grocery store, and restaurants/shops. Was a little disappointed in the beach area as it was actually a beach pool (think pool with sand) than a straight walk into turquoise water as you'd get elsewhere. With that said, we spent all of our time at our villa pool watching the ships sail by. Taxis from this location to Willemstad are pricey so if you plan to go out and about more than once or twice, definitely rent a car.

We are only on our second night here and so far we are very happy with the location & accommodations. We spent our first 4 days in Curacao at an all inclusive resort and were ready for something a little quieter and more upscale. This place does NOT disappoint. We are staying in a three bedroom 2 bath condo with a gorgeous view. We are with 5 minutes walk to the grocery and several restaurants, most of which are right on the beach. And speaking of the beach...it's a series of small beach areas with plenty of chairs, restaurants, bars, and areas where you can walk into the water. We walked all the way down to the end, where there is a small restaurant and bar called Kokos. You can pay to use their loungers and they will bring drinks and food to you. We plan to walk back down tomorrow to try a different area of the beach. The complex of Boca Gentile is very nice, clean and upscale. There is a security gate where everyone must check in, and we have seen security in the area of the beach as well. This is NOT a place to visit if you plan to have wild parties, but it's a great place to relax and grab a tan. …

We rented a "Hilltop" apartment with our family of 4 (kids 20 and 18). Very nice place, very roomy and clean, great kitchen, big fridge and freezer, good airco. Porch is nice with a pool 5 steps away (shared with 12 apartments but always very quit). Top floor would be ideal since you have a direct view at the sea. We were at ground floor but there we could enjoy the well maintained garden. Parking space near the house, security guards at the gate around the clock.
