This historical and unique property was an absolute pleasure for my wife and I. The communal spaces are amazing and comfortable. The key to the hospitality was Loeki who looked after our every need, and was always responsive. As others have mentioned, her breakfasts are amazing. The property is a beautiful and peaceful oasis in the midst of Curaçao. We would definitely return.

This place is like a tiny corner of heaven. We have been staying with our family in a cottage on the estate with our own private terrace and swimming pool. The cottage is really very well taken care of every day and is a pleasure to stay in. Proper bathrooms, very nice beds and solid air-conditioning too. You don't want to miss this place. Important to add: Loeki makes the nicest breakfast on the island, if not in the whole Caribbean.

A stunning and comforting place to call home when visiting Curaçao. Hands down the best Airbnb we stayed at in all of our worldly travels! Kindest host + friendliest fur friends. Stunning views from every corner, too.

Relaxing, stress-free, and very hospitable experience for a family of adults (no teens). From check-in to check-out, Loeki was attentive and catered to the needs of her guests e.g. breakfast, room comfort, logistics for getting around Curacao, recommendations for restaurants, beaches, transport, etc. Wonderful and unique setting at this plantation house, where you can enjoy nature, be close to the beaches and unwind after a day out. Great breakfast and conversation. We will definitely go back and highly recommend this place to other visitors. You won’t be disappointed.

This place is amazing. As it is a landhuis, the rooms were large and tall and interestingly old. There was a breeze through the house that kept everything pleasant. The owner, Loeki, provided me with a great gluten free breakfast every day. Whatever we wanted she would cook for us, and we always had a fruit smoothie of the day. The owner was full of interesting places to go and things to do. We took a long walk around a salt pond with flamingos right from her front door. The swimming pool is large and very clean. Also there are dogs and a sheep that thinks it is a dog, and hens and a rooster... I would recommend this place to anybody.

First off, the location is outstanding; it is an one of a kind property that truly stands out to me as one of the true must stay locations on the island. Close second, Loeki, is an amazing host. She met us upon arrival and showed us around the estate. She is so knowledgeable and super friendly, and will make you feel right at home. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfast Loeki made for us was simply delicious. The dogs and especially Olivia, the sheep are great fun to interact with and the dogs will go on a hike with you through the flamingo flats if you so choose. I could not recommend this stunning B&B more highly. If you are considering staying here, DO IT!

Picture yourself in a film set of a romantic movie about 19th century Curacao - but then with the convenience of an airco that is working. And with a house sheep as pet disturbing the film shoot. I'm not joking! Landhuis Jan Thiel is a great place to stay if you like friendliness and a place that is not busy with people and noisy music but instead offers you the sound of nature and a great breakfast tailor made by the best part of the venue: Loekie, the one that makes this (& more) all happen. Enjoy!

This place is out of this world ...... We were completely blown away by the beauty, the hospitality, the rooms (super beds!) and the views, sunrise and sunset ..... we simply did not want to leave ..... Manager Loeki is so hostile and did take care of us so well. Early morning breakfast with yoghurt, fresh fruit & home made granola and fresh eggs from their own chickens ..... Please, go there and let yourself be spoiled by this hidden treasure in the middle of nature, but also very close to the famous Curacao beaches. We travelled a lot, but Landhuis Jan Thiel is on the top of our list!

I have stayed several times at this unique location! Close by the real world, but yet so secluded. Morning walks/hike in the salt plains are fantastic with the breathtaking view, wild parrots and flamingos just right there! Excellent service and the beds are just heaven!!! Loeki is always there to spoil you! Whether it is for breakfast with home made granola, just a coffee, glass of home made ice tea after a day on the beach or a nice glass of wine for sunset! Everything is possible! This place is just amazing! Looking forward to our next stay!

As you watch the majestic iron gates gradually open you know something special lies inside. I agree with all that has been written already. We had two dinners created by Wilhimin, one to celebrate our anniversary. Delicious. Watching the setting sun over the pool is a lovely experience. Much better than a resort. Lot's of flowers, parakeets, peace and quiet. Elegant furnishings. Helene is a gem. Very gracious and helpful with airport and rental car arrangements. Don't miss a chance to stay at Landhuis Jan Thiel.
