We stayed at Ibo Lele for 4 nights. I can imagine that once, many years ago, this hotel was probably one of the nicest in the area. The view of Port-au-Prince is beautiful. The restaurant has a limited menu and many of the items were not available. The common areas by the restaurant and pool were very nice but the... More

This place is amazing! it is so family oriented, and the view to port au prince is incredible. I had a great time there. They have the best sushi with a super nice bartender at the lounge. And as far as the sports bar, its the best bar in the entire city of port-au-prince, everybody goes there. More

It is possible for one to see what could be, and what it must have been, to be at the ibolele in the 50s, 60s, and maybe event the 70s. Unfortunately, the place has not seen any updates since. The hotel is run down, service is horrible, and everything is over price. The ibolele takes advantage of its remote location... More

Forget about reviews from before the earthquake - Ibo Lele may have been a grand hotel in former times and maybe one of the first secure places right after the earthquake but they let you pay for the old reputation and not for what they have to offer right now. I stayed in most of the hotels in Port au... More

I'm really not sure how to rate this hotel. After two weeks in rural Haiti it was great! But honestly it would be pretty mundane amenity wise compared to America. The hotel looked pretty nice. The architecture was beautiful and there was some great art work and it felt like the type of place that a 1950s James Bond film... More

Stayed here for two weeks in November. Rooms cleaned randomly, internet worked only occasionally. Tried the hotel restaurant only once then didn't return; fortunately had transportation to reach other options. The sports bar was good, however, and NFL games on weekends were a big plus. More

The only thing nice I found at Ibo Lele was the view of Port au Prince from the terrace. The room I've got was not really clean and the furniture in poor condition. It was very noisy especially around 2 or 3 in the morning when revelers leave the place during the week end. The food is quite expensive for... More

Ibolele is one of the few hotels people can stay in Port-au-Prince. So being very condescenting, the hotel is a place to stay. The safety feeling is due to the hotel location: isolated on the top of the mountain in Petionville. To go anywhere in the city takes over an hour. The hotel lacks managemenmt and hospitality expetise. The staff... More

The hotel is located high above the city. It is great if you don't need to go into "town". To get to the airport and town expect a minimum 1 to1 1/2 hour trip. Also there is only one choice for meals, the hotel itself, unless you have reliable transportation. My room as dingy and shabbily furnished. It was literally... More
