I had a great stay at Coconut Villa during relief efforts in late October. The owner made personal contact/conversation on several occasions to assure my needs were met. The staff was great and I enjoyed good food in the restaurant. The hotel has a great pool for cooling off and security around the clock made for a safe experience. Vacationers... More

Since January 2010 it feels like I have slept more nights at Coconut Villa than at home. It is a peaceful haven from the heat, dust, and traffic of PaP. It is always a welcoming place to return to after a long day. The rooms are spacious and clean, with air-conditioning and refrigerators. The restaurant and pool area is refreshing.... More

Upon check in I was told that we couldn't check in because the front desk closes at 8 (it was 8:30) -and that because of that all that was available was a room with 2 double beds (I only needed one as I was the only one staying there) for $150 - not the $100 I was quoted for the... More

Service is very rude (except one smiling waitress). The woman manager is not friendly at all. It feels more like jail. The rooms are bleak and the food is average. Prices are very expensive for the quality. Yet it's hard to find much better in Haiti. More

Although it was expensive it was well worth it. Our team of 12 stayed for a week and it was great to return after a day of working to the villa. Tasty safe food, safe water, air conditioning, armed guard on duty, great overall service from the staff...it was an oasis. More

I had to fly down to Haiti at very short notice to coordiante an air transfer in and out of international recovery workers. I was really apprehensive about finding somewhere to stay that would be either safe or comfortable. I found both. The Coconut Villa is no 5 star property, it doesn't pretend to be, but it is clean, friendly... More

I'm heading down to Jacmel, Haiti this week to help in the relief effort. My flight home leaves early in the morning in a few weeks, and I need to spend the previous night in Port-au-Prince. Based on the reviews, I was excited to book a night at Coconut Villa. However, not only are they charging more than is listed... More

We were at this hotel during the 7.0 earthquake and actually had just got to our room and 10 minutes later th earthquake hit. The employee's and owner were very caring, loving and was up all night making sure we were safe and taken care of. I would not have wanted to be anywhere else in Haiti when that earthquake... More

All I can say is that I made a good choice by staying here. The value for the price is good being that this is Haiti. I really have no complaints. Since I speak Creole, there was no language barrier. The staff and management team always greeted you, they sent porters to the store if you needed them to and... More
