On entering the property you feel as if you were alone, dont know if it was the time of year we visited. The atmosphere change when we were greated by the front desk receptionist who gave us a brief overview of the property and highlighted us on places we could visit during our stay, a very pleasant girl. Things got... More

Very grand looking place with lots of paintings and sculptures around it. As other visitors had mentioned, it did feel like we were they only ones staying there. Check in was easy, staff were friendly. We ate at the restaurant which was nice, bit pricing though. Room was clean and overall it was a good stay. More

Stayed there once with my family when we lived in Jamaica 2006-2007. It looks very impressive from the outside, but the rooms are un-inspiring and dark. It's like being in a cage when you're inside. The mattresses were stone hard. I hardly slept at all that night. It's like this place pretends to be something it isn't. Only possitive thing... More

Had a walk around.A really big very impressive place, although parts of it has seen better days. All over different kinds of art work. Some nice some a bit wierd. Some parts as if time... More

We booked through hotels.com and told that this hotel was on the waterfront.. Which it's not! Very large property so if you like privacy, this place is for you. We found the atmosphere a bit too creepy, felt like the twilight zone with all the strange art and the fact that it felt like no one els was staying there!... More

Was really excited to be travelling to this hotel on Boxing Day. The photos on the website looked amazing and, whilst the buildings are impressive and the setting in the lush greenery of Port Antonio is lovely, I have to say I was a tad disappointed. The reception staff were less than welcoming and unforthcoming with information (with the exception... More

The Hotel was very clean, staff was excellent and rooms were big and spacious. This was my husband first visit to Jamaica and he loved every mintue of it. He wants to buy a house on the Island. My children love the hotel and all the birds especially the parrot called Max. They would talk to the parrot every morning... More

The Jamaica Palace hotel is described as an elegant and luxurious 4 * hotel which is within walking distance of romantic beaches and coves. Whilst it may well look elegant when you arrive at the hotel, on closer inspection it certainly is not luxurious and certainly not within walking distance of romantic beaches and coves. The hotel has a feeling... More

Good Service, decent but expensive food - except once, there was a fly in my soup, i did not bother to complain, the waiter had given such good service. Lobby - very good, rooms clean, but need updating, they have circular leopard print beads, yes as cheesy as it sounds it actually does not look that bad. I would stay... More

Wow!!! This place is absolutely beautiful. I believe the word to describe it would be eccentric. My fiance and I were looking for the perfect getaway and we definitely found it here. Will definitely go back to visit. In fact we are thinking of having our wedding there. Their gardens are beautiful and would make a perfectscenic venue, and also... More
