Stay clear of the "Brown" room. It is an interior room in the "artist" class. The room is very tight, humid, musty, and does not offer an exterior window. Additionally, you will very clearly hear your fellow guests in nearby rooms. On a positive note, the wine deck will offer one of the best views in Old San Juan. More

Utterly bonkers, with plants/courtyards/exotic birds/statues/hidden rooms/turrets/garrets/fountains everywhere. The HIlton it ain't. My first impression on our rainy arrival, after struggling to identify the entrance, was "shambolic, ramshackle, delapidated". Our room (Jonathan) was leaky and although a "suite", the second bed was a single iron bed the likes I of which I haven't seen since childhood! The food in the restaurant... More

My boyfriend, now fiancé, stayed in this hotel almost two years ago. We are doing our honeymoon research and everything I'm finding, I keep hearing myself say, "but it's isn't like the experience that we had at The Gallery Inn." We had the best time; from looking all the art in the inn, to our view in our room, the... More

My husband and I stayed at The Gallery Inn for 3 nights before going on a cruise starting in Puerto Rico. We absolutely loved every minute of it even though it rained most of the time. Yes, there was a little water coming into the room from the deck, but that was taken care off right away. Our room had... More

The Inn is a masterpiece, you know the moment you walk through the gates that Jan and Manuco have dedicated a lifetime of experiences into the formation of their unique and intriguing Inn. The staff is wonderful, welcoming and always warm. They take pride in their jobs and love what they do and it shines through to their guests. You... More

The artwork, the inn keepers and staff make this hotel amazing! The rooms are all one-of-a-kind and each one has its own personality. The beach shack bar and the Cannon Room are equally wonderful, as was the food and service. A perfect eclectic mix of luxury and history plus within walking distance of near next to everything! Plus the parrots... More

Shabby Chic at best.Don't go if there is rain. The roof leaks in at least 3 of the rooms and it was directly onto the bed. There is structural damage in the ceiling. The breakfast was chaotic and when the food and dishes ran out there wasn't anymore, well before the closing time. There were no water glasses in the room. The severs were pleasant but... Sometimes an owner is taken aback by a guest’s critical and harsh words, your comments have left me as such. I am sorry you took my concern as inappropriate. I respond to you with my continued words to all guests. At the Gallery Inn, you will not find a staff and owners more anxious to make every situation right. We... More

From the artwork to the birds to the labyrinthine setup with unrivaled ocean views and in easy walking distance to the best of Old San Juan, I would not even consider staying anywhere else in San Juan. Yes the are not huge and the decor is frankly quite odd, but I wouldn't miss it for anything. More

The Inn is in a couple of hundred year old Spanish style tropical building overlooking the ocean. That's the good and the bad. The old Spanish buildings were built with courtyards and rooms that got lots of breezes, not to meet the ADA or please focus groups. This means a lot of little surprise courtyards and windows but it also... More

Beautiful private location, perfect for a romantic getaway. Far enough from the noisy party side of Old San Juan. The staff was extremely nice. I don't give it a perfect 5 because the bed was a bit uncomfortable (my back was hurting in the morning) and the rugs and books a little dusty. Other than those minor detailsthe place is... More
