In retrospect, I personally would've stayed in Isla Verde for its nicer beach. But if you want to stay in Condado (a bit dumpy, but centrally located and some decent shopping and restaurants in the area) then La Concha is probably your best bet. I was in San Juan for a week with work and stayed at La Concha. I had a fantastic time resort was supberb. Hotel was really central bar staff were very friendly and the casino was good to spend some time even just to watch everything that was going on. I would highly recommend this hotel.
