The room had it's own fenced in swimming pool. Topless sunbathing made easy. There was availability for the room to open to another villa, there fore 2 couples or a family could have their own private oasis. A walk to the lagoon was only through the grounds of the property, which is not far. More

I've stayed at all the best hotels on island and without a doubt IDF is perhaps the best and most loved hotel with spacious and well-designed rooms and suites, all with some kind of outdoor space. I prefer the beach junior suites, located near the pool, but have also stayed in rooms in the garden, across the street and more... More

I can usually tell within minutes of walking into a property if I’ll want to return someday. This is one of those hotels for me! Simple structures with very large and beautifully appointed rooms (both sea facing and garden surrounded) that meander out to the main three-tiered deck with steps onto one of the island’s most gorgeous beaches (Flamand). Sultry... More

Wow. Everyone says Eden Rock is the place to go... they obviously have not been here. Elegant, sophisticated and charming property that is has everything. The beach is beautiful white powder sand, leading to crystal blue waters, with some decent wave action to add to the wow factor. Bar service is available on the beach, as well as at the... More

If you love Europe, but want a beach vacation, look no further. Possibly the best combination of French food and Caribbean vibe in existence. The beach is extraordinary. The hotel spills down onto white sand and the blue water you would expect. But on the way down, you walk past a nice pool and a restaurant that serves up great... More

the most beautiful private beach. Superb Hotel, Wonderful room, superb food. We hired a jeep and loved the island...don't miss Shell Beach right by the beautiful capital Gustavia. Didn't much enjoy the landing strip (but I am a bad flyer!) though I loved to park at the top by the roundabout and watch them landing on this impossibly short (with... More

Beautiful beach but too windy to enjoy for the most part. Too dangerous to use the umbrellas so no shade. We had to move to 4 different rooms over 11 nights because they have an ongoing problem with sewage smells. Not acceptable for any property much less one this expensive. Management did try to accommodate us but they were fully... More

St. barths has a feel of Capri or St. Tropez. Beautiful people, lovely beaches, great restaurants , designer shopping and luxury boats. Isle de france is located on a beautiful beach. Too bad this is a windy side of the island and the ocean is rough to swim in. You have to be a strong experienced swimmer to go in... More

I recently stayed at Isle De France while the room was lovely I wasn't blown away, and the ants in the bathroom didn't help. Overall the property is located in a residential area and isn't within walking distance to anything. The staff appears to be friendly but I felt their friendliness was phoniness. The beach was nice however their is... More
