We choose to stay here for 2 days after our cruise arrived back so we could explore St. Maarten. We usually like smaller local hotels for the experience. Pasanggrahan is conveniently located as it is sandwiched between the beach boardwalk on one side and main shopping street on the other and across the street from a casino (if you are... More

Hotel has a great location. We felt very good and safe.I would recommend to stay in new part...saw rooms and they are very nice and modern, but of course if you want to have a old caribbean feel stay in old part.old part is in need of some up keep and as we heard it is already planned, so we are... We have had some great breakfasts here in the past but this time we only made it for lunch. The service was indifferent. The waitress wasn't all that excited that we were there. The food was bland but one person in our party had the fish and chips which they said was great. We were pretty disappointed especially when we... More

We just returned from a 4 night stay at The Pasanggrahan Royal Guesthouse in St. Maarten. We were tired of doing your "typical" hotels and wanted something with a rustic, island feel. We were not disappointed. The guesthouse is very old and if you are looking for perfection, this is probably not your safest bet. The hotel and restaurant were... More

One of the worst hotel experiences ever. The room was dark, dingy, and the floors filthy. The bedding tthe first night was almost a gray color. The front of the frig was all rusty. We didn't feel the area was safe at night. The staff was not helpful at all except one time when I needed to make a phone... More

We stayed at the Pasanggrahan after an 8 day sailing trip. The hotel was a walk from the dingy. The location of the hotel is it's best attraction. After reading other trip advisor reviews we choose the Pasanggrahan and felt we made a good choice. For the price it was the best choice available. However, we were very disappointed in... More

We stayed at the Pasanggrahan from Feb 8-12, 2012. It is not luxurious but it is very charming, clean and in a safe part of Phillipsburg, very convenient to everything. Our room had a little balcony where we could sit and watch the ocean or the people. Walk out the front and you are in the middle of the action... More

We stayed at the Pasanggrahan the night before going on a cruise. Maybe 20 minutes from the airport, right on the Boardwalk and a 2-minute taxi ride to the Cruiseport terminal. It served as a great transition from our hectic life and day long travels to our cruise. You don't need a car and can enjoy several restaurants and all... More

I used to come to this place quite often on business and really loved it. Last time I was quite dissappointed. They have added a wing on one side completely out of keeping with the rest of the lovely charming guesthouse. It's an ugly concrete add on. To make matters worse the beautifull gazebo where you could enjoy meals has... More

My sister and I stayed here for a night before going on a cruise. The ambiance is charming - not your cookie cutter hotel. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the beach. It had a vaulted ceiling and carved headboards on the beds. The shower looked brand new. It was very clean. The balcony had a great view,... More
